Entitled DPS, please stop being entitled

This thread feels like :

"Hey im the tank, you know what that means? im the fucking leader and i can do whatever i want, this is my dungeon, if you dont like my job then leave.

I´ve news for you, without DPS/Heals you cant even kill a single mob without spending 2 hours on it.

Tanks nowadays just rush everything without even say a single word and when they die after pulling 90% of the dungeon they complain and inmediatly insult the healer and the rest of the party.

Don't do assumptions like this please. It doesn't serve the tank community as a whole. Some do play like this, true. But they remain a minority. Some, on the other hand, always ask, always compliment their mates for their good jobs, chat, among other pleasant things.

It's true also, the number of "rude" players has been increasing (imo), and we see plenty of those threads around here (about bad tanks, bad healers, bad dps), but that's only because they were "bad". If we were to create a thread for every damn great tank/healer/dps we met and deserved praises, the number of threads would be x100.

Don't make a generality out of a few.

You haven't read much then, because if you had, it would be clear that I did the opposite of that. Does me asking him to AoE to get his full clear and being willing to do one even after he ordered me to not skip anything sound like I'm saying "I'm the leader, this is my dungeon" etc to you? To me, his aggressive response, threats, and abuse of roles sound like he's saying he's the leader and it's his dungeon....I was willing to do what he wanted if treated like a human being or if he was willing to give us at least 10% of what we wanted, but we weren't worth it to him apparently.

The DPS this time was the one who tried to force everyone to do what he wanted by using griefing tactics at that. I've stated so many times now that I do clears if asked nicely, that I do clears if outvoted. So please, re-read if you're getting the idea that I don't.

I don't understand how me being willing to clear and asking him to AoE to get his clear is so bad....and why it's okay that he run ahead and pull mobs, and tell the healer to stop doing their job of healing if he gets anything less than 100% of what he wants. Are my values really that backwards? Some people really want to assault tanks who do not immediately jump as high as demanded to. It's almost as if we're expected to give up our rights completely, any less and we're "jerks".

Not to be mean but you're probably going to get yourself banned and others banned over it.

The event happened nearly a week ago and your still bothered by it.
Just play the game and forget the guy. I got the heat by people before, either reported
or ignored it and moved on with my life lol. So just have a nice day. I'm surprised people aren't bored yet with

I had dropped it actually. The thread was a few pages back, someone revived it, then the personal attacks started again. I didn't even post on the thread again until I wanted to commend someone for posting an accurate summary of what happened along with a coolheaded response. I'd hope that no one gets banned over anything said here, especially the people who aren't being hostile. I don't like the personal attacks, but I am not a fan of censorship either. I am not upset enough to want people to be banned for anything said to me, and I haven't attacked anyone personally myself anyways, so yeah....no need for bans or censorship here. If anything, a thread locking would be most in order.

Edit: Also not sure if you saw the thing you quoted as aggression. I'll say now it wasn't intended to be, I meant it to just be a lighthearted expression. I had hoped the smiley and my wording choice would convey that message, lol. And yeah, I'm surprised people aren't bored yet either.

I've already given them their solution too (retiring from tanking). For the people who think I'm terrible in general, you'd think that would satisfy them and make them move on :\

The story hasn't changed so much as I've been adding increasing bits of information to give more insight as to what happened If you can find any inconsistencies in my story, I'd love for you to present the proof!

I won't deny that I've mentioned a lot that people should read though! When you have to repeat things over and over, can you blame me though? When people repeat the same arguments that ignore things I've said, of course I'm going to repeat that people should read.

There is plenty of evidence on the forums that people don't like to read too, not just on my thread :P. You even admitted yourself in a previous that you didn't bother reading some things I've said. If you aren't gonna bother reading but post anyways, don't get touchy when I ask you to go back and read important things you missed.

Said after I removed half the text from the OP and moved it to another post. If you don't notice a change this major on the OP, which is the first and most important post on a topic and aren't willing to keep up with it being changed every so often, then I don't know what to say. There you have it folks. It is willful ignorance at work.

Add on to that the fact that I have posted throughout the thread, not just on my OP, that I gave the dps a chance to get what he wanted and always do clears if asked nicely or if outvoted, and yet still am being called a dictatorlike jerk frequently, and you've got an even more obvious case of "tl;dr syndrome" plaguing the thread.

Don't get me wrong though, it's every bit your right to ignore things said. If you choose to ignore things said though and post anyways, don't fuss when people call you out on it when it's clear you haven't read or are cherry picking.
