Why do casual players seem entitled to cosmetic items added in game?

How detached from reality do you need to be to think that the casual and midcore community want one-and-done content, when a massive part of the uproar they are making is exactly that all they have been getting is some one-and-done stuff rather than anything grindable with longevity?

How do I even argue with you when the very premise under your argument is a failure to understand what the group you disparage even wants, to begin with?

If by that you mean having done Deep Dungeons and Eureka and Bozja, grinded relic weapons in ARR, HW, SB, ShB and EW, done every last yellow quest across every zone, completed the sightseeing log for every expansion, having from scratch upgraded my own latest pentamelded BiS crafter gear (and the matching gatherer set) with the release of 7.1, unlocked every dungeon and raid below savage, checked all the boxes to keep my Trade and Combat mentor flag after the DT updates, maxed out every allied society in every expansion, capped every job in the game to 100, found every path through every Variant Dungeon without looking up solutions, and bought every unique reward from the PvP vendors and the Gold Saucer worth having, and capped out Island Sanctuary and Doman Restoration and Ishgardian Restoration (when that was still a thing happening), and run Treasure Maps hundreds upon hundreds of times?

Yeah.. done or good as done actually. I still have Reaper at only 95 I think and Picto at 90 because I have been sleeping on them, and I still need to do the jump puzzle in Tuliyollal for the last sightseeing point of DT, but other than that I'm pretty much done with what's not high-end raiding.

The only content I am aware of that I still need to chase to completion or near completion, is catching every Big Fish.

I play every single area of content you can play in this game that isn't current high end raids, and I am literally through all of it or as good as -- and on most counts, was so before Dawntrail even dropped. I even own the darn mount that costs 50,000 bicolor gemstones, as well as every mount they ever put in a Treasure Maps dungeon.

And I still had time on the side to build up a well stocked selection of glams, perform and coordinate bard concerts, and go clubbing too.
