Can they put some more effort into seasonal events?

Maybe put in a special seasonal event GATE? Or an actual timed competition of finding the mammets?

What is the point of wasting 10 minutes of my time with that quest? The quest wasn't humorous, wasn't dramatic, wasn't interesting, and was so forgettable I already forgot the details after an hour. There's one thing I remember though: credit where it's due, the quest literally felt as boring as writing a high school English class journalist report assignment, so you nailed that part, SE.

(PS: If you haven't done the quest yet, I would highly encourage you to skip the cutscenes. There's no humor, no lore, no drama. Nothing really happened.)

Genshin Impact a free to play mobile gatcha game puts out events every 40 days that are fully voiced and an engaging story. FF which is a subscription game with a full price tag does like 5 events a year and still can't put 10% of the effort. Something is wrong.

It's the Make it Rain Campaign, this event has never been anything more than just a way of greatly boosting MGP gained from regular Gold Saucer attractions while the event lasts, it's not a regular seasonal event (lets face it, it's just a form of promotion for the Gold Saucer in-universe by Godbert) Any sidequest connected to it is mere dressing on it.

Quality of the sidequest aside, I will note that I was grateful that:

they didn't find some lame excuse for Godbert to strip off and run around in his underpants as they usually do - I am completely sick of that unfunny, antique, routine which makes me reluctant to play any content that involves him

Personally I was feeling hopeful and excited when they made a Season Event with a Dungeon on one of the Halloween events, I was like: "Oh Sweet they gonna make Seasonal Dungeons now!"

Man... I felt almost as disappointed when I was told that Santa wasn't real at age 8.

The cutscene could be the WoL watching a wall dry for ten minuets and I would still happily watch, because THATS HOW MUCH OF A COMPLETIONIST I AM!

I have not done the quest yet, but I suspect I will enjoy it a tad more then you did. That said I do wish the season events where a bit more involving. I get that they do not want events to be a big time investment full of FOMO features, but I would love to see them made more akin to say, mini-tribe quests. You know, make currency worth farming for rewards and the like, and perhaps even a longer story that unlocks over several days. I doubt we will ever see it, but one never knows.
