I have only seen Garuda's In/out mechanic a handful of times, I very rarely see Ifrit's dashes to the point I have no clue how to solve it now (lol). Ultima probably has less skip since it actually leaves the arena for a while.

no. they have IMPLIED they will look at jobs. in reality we know a grand total of absolutely nothing. nor, in all honesty, is their intention even remotely clear in if they are keeping healers, the trinity or... anything.I think we are at the point where the devs need to start having lots of live letter Q&A sessions with the players in each job to better set things up so 8.0 isn’t a total disaster. I’m not talking about short 15 min per job sessions, more like 2 hours per job.
Giving a roadmap and telling players their ideas and let us offer feedback will not be spoilers for the next expansion. We know they are looking at the jobs, they need to have more two way communication. In the end, offer voting for players when they say we can only do X or Y or Z.
all we have for certain is PR speak telling us to "please wait for it"

I want them to do a mid expansion of a job or two, and just go wild to give a us a taste of what's to come.

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

It's got the best shot to actually get improvements because of how wonky it is right now. (still my favorite healer though all things considered)
Sage is still really new, Astro just got a rework, and White Mage's whole identity is being the baby healer.
I mean, we're not playing healers anyway. Especially if they ruin Scholar further, Right? (no pun intended.)

I honestly can’t think of a single way they could improve its “wonkiness” that’s not basically just removing an aspect of its designIt's got the best shot to actually get improvements because of how wonky it is right now. (still my favorite healer though all things considered)

How about Fey Blessing, Whispering Dawn, and Fey Illumination being usable under Dissipation, just originating from the player, and perhaps having an additional effect like a shield, or boosted mitigation. Maybe even resetting the cooldown.
Excog could be manually detonated for a slightly reduced potency for the times where you need a heal to go out, but your target isn't below 50% health yet. (this happens pretty often with Dark Knights using TBN)
The faerie could go back to using Fey Blessing after it's done doing any of it's other skills. It could also start following you if you get too far from it after placing it somewhere specific instead of just peace-ing out.
Just off the top of my head, but I wouldn't say any of this would "fix" scholar per se. I know it's part of the difficulty to fully understand how your kit works, but it still feels really weird to run into one of these things. Maybe if they kept more of the way pets worked before that made some of these things actually make sense.
If they want to rework the jobs, well good for them, I won't touch them unless the reworks actually fixes the problems I've had with the jobs since Shadowbringers. If the reworks are still a mess, great, I'll just continue to not touch them.
As for SCH, I've never been particularly attached to Dissipation, but I do think the risk of not having the fairy when you need it is part of what makes it interesting. Part of me kinda prefers the pre-ShB version that required a manual re-summon, as that entrenched it as much more of an "emergency button" in my mind.

Healers have been neglected for 3 expansions now and this needs to be rectified with the following:
- An engaging DPS kit beyond a nuke and DoT.
- Increased incoming damage so we have more to heal.
- Distinctive playstyles amongst the healers.
- Some nerfs to non-healer heals, we shouldn't be replaceable.

I don’t know if buffing dissipation any further would be remotely balanced, it’s already so powerful as it isHow about Fey Blessing, Whispering Dawn, and Fey Illumination being usable under Dissipation, just originating from the player, and perhaps having an additional effect like a shield, or boosted mitigation. To me the conflict in skills is a core part of SCH’s identity
