I'm honestly curious how many people will still be playing healers in DF once they finish levelling all of their jobs? Because that's the relevant number. We don't need to consider the amount of healers during the levelling period, what matters is the amount of people who settle as healer mains and whether that number goes down.

I don't need to have a way to count that, only the dev team needs to be able to see it, and if the settled number dips low enough, they can deal with that.

Regardless, I'm not the one that set the goalposts down, so I'm not moving them.
