Buff WHM? They won't.

‘We didn’t want any player friction so we literally removed friction from the game, now all players are permanently sliding across the floor so you will always avoid AoE. You’re welcome healers’ - YoshiP

Okay so not sure how many folks saw this but https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...edb0f351c818a7
Now granted this prob hurt smn more than it did sch but still. Still it's hilarious that this got overlooked. We have identified the issues below with the Summoner's "Arcane Mastery" trait and the Scholar's "Enhanced Healing Magic" trait.
■Summoner Trait "Arcane Mastery"
Raised potency not activating for the following abilities:
・Inferno
・Earthen Fury
・Aerial Blast
■Scholar Trait "Enhanced Healing Magic"
Raised potency for healing and shielding effect not activating for the following abilities:
・Embrace
・Seraphic Veil

Tbf it was just a lvl 60 dungeon but today our healer died on the first boss while the latter still had around 80% and the rest of us comfortably managed to kill it.
At lvl 60 we didn't have any crazy defensive abilities yet but there was literally just one instance of forced damage (stack marker) and the rest could easily be avoided.
Even though it's just a "low level" dungeon at this point healers shouldn't be superfluous like that, esp. when other classes don't have their full mitigation kit yet.
Just give us more periodic unavoidable damage. Doesn't need to be hard to heal. Stretch it out enough to be comfortable to heal for newer players. But by the end of the fight DPS and tanks should be dead if the periodic damage isn't cured.

The case of level 60 dungeons not needing healers is more a symptom of ilvl caps/more HP from accessories and general potency buffs of baseline actions over the years to be fair. There's the occasional job like WAR having access to the drastically different and empowered Raw Intuition at that level, but by and large it'd be closer to HW if they didn't let player's power run as unchecked by putting on tighter gear restriction, removing direct hit functionality until 61 and having one of those level 84/94 traits that increases all your basic action potencies for every job once per expansion level range.
It'd also help solve the problem of too trivial battle content for new players in perpetuity somewhat.
Healers currently is boring till endgame which they are some what okay at their best..
que for dungeon is a nightmare to me no pls not another 20 min of spamming broil

Seen that before and gleaned it a little bit further. There's actually the bug report made going as far back to DT early launch date, but was unfortunately moved to "Insufficient Information" subforum because poster probably did not wrote the report in the very specific format SE wants to read. Source here.
Nevermind the piss poor QC from their part, few things that really rubs me the wrong way:
- Do they not have any humans reading those bug reports? Smh.
- The 2nd to last paragraph in the lodestone notification is literally them admitting to their own mistakes but also "Uh yeah we're not gonna fix our own mistake asap we'll just do that in one go at next major patch cycle mkay?", which is like what, at least 1 and a half month away from today?? That's crazy lol.
Squeenix and their glacial pace at fixing issues.
Squeenix and gaslighting players into thinking that fixes are 'next new content/feature'.
Pick your poison.

Just want to chime in that over my time progging savage on pf these last 3 weeks, all parties struggle to find healers or the occasional physical ranged dps. With the exception of parties started by healer duos (three in this last week strangely enough). I feel I am being baited every time someone on the team asks “so healers really are scarce huh?” and someone mentions healer strike. I know people love to come in here to say their same bit of “so is the healer strike real and working? I still see them and my queue is blah blah blah” Yes, it seems to be effecting my time more than previous expansions, maybe because when I’m in these parties I’m not switching to healer to make it fill faster anymore. I hope this reaches 1k pages and I hope it is noticed by then by devs![]()

Meanwhile some ERPers complain their nose bridge is 2 pixels bigger on the left side and we get the most in-depth breakdown of how noses are affected by the passage of time relative to the fluctuations of aether in the timezone you're playing right from Yoshi-P himself.Seen that before and gleaned it a little bit further. It's insane how out in the cold the job feedback is in this game. They either literally don't care or they just pray it'll go away. Neither I'm too pleased with.
