Unsurprisingly, the 13 years old acting edgy in the thread is... acting chuddy in others, who would have I guessedIt's so so weird how the people trolling and dismissing this strike are never healers, always tanks or dps, but are trying their darnest to keep healers in their sorry state.
I do wonder what their stances on social strikes or minority rights are in real life, truly a mystery, guess we'll never know...
The people against Healer Strike have, huh, kind of a similar attitude to say the least, how strange !! (shameless self quoting yeah)
In normal difficulty, i think all jobs can be replaced. You can run an all dps group, an all tank group, or even an all healer group in NORMAL difficulty for dungeons, trials, and raids so it's not just healers that can be excluded at that level. In Exteme maybe if everyone knows what to do and there is sufficient coordination. In Savage and Ultimate I don't think so.
It's been like two months, we're still stuck on this?
An Ultimate was cleared without healers. It's old news.
Switching out a healer for a DPS actively makes dungeons faster while 4 healers is a meme comp that'll clear super slowly. They have kits that are 80% heals but none of them are needed, that's fundamentally broken.

it/its - 14 accessibility is bad, ease of access is not accessibility, jobs are boring. Transphobia ruins real attempts at criticism and it's whack.
Well, I am back after trying new Savage to see if "my morsels of healing to do" was a correct assessment.
So far, in M3S I got a 0 grey dps parser and I clocked into 150 casts of Malefic. (My partner was a SGE with 165 casts of Dosis. Nobody died by the way.)
I figure it only gets worse from here.
There are mostly mitigation checks and 1 heal check in M2s and another heal check in M3s. So far, M4s is not lookin that intense. (healing wise)

This. I remember having a blast in ShB doing a PF run of the last Nier raid with a group of 24 healers. In normal difficulty, i think all jobs can be replaced. Something being done in a less efficient manner by a specific group of veteran, top-tier players is meaningless. That happens in practically every game in existence, where the "top of the top" create various ways to challenge themselves even farther (for RPG's, think low-level completions, doing FF1 with 4 white mages, etc.). It becomes "meaningful" if that kind of alternate approach becomes reliably doable by typical players. An Ultimate was cleared without healers. It's old news.
That is disingenuous, FFXIV content is heavily scripted so yes once the content is figured out you can start to replace roles, an argument can be made current savage was grossly under tuned. That being said I do not think any ult or savage has been first time cleared and progged without a healer. That is the point they are trying to make that healer engagement is still a thing during prog. Yes, it is fair to want more of that to in other content but no need to ignore it either. It's been like two months, we're still stuck on this?
