As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Yeah, they already said that the job adjustments will just amount to balancing numbers around PCT again. So a whole lot of nothingburger.
Can you guys change to DPS that has more buttons to press, because I am tired of waiting for DPS to join and fill the PF. Thanks!

It’s like a competition to think of the most contrived way to “fix” the problem that doesn’t involve actually fixing healers or dealing with the fallout of the game still being built on needing healers in the system even if they are redundant

Question, do you think return to something like O8S combat design wise i.e. frequent teamwide damage and actual multiple heal checks (i.e. Heartless (Arc)Angel), while mechanics themselves are not that complicated would be good?
Or will it still be kinda trivialized by the modern healing kits?
