that will last until first set of trails and crafted armor for end game round 1 drops. then the power creep will set and then you are see what the healers are talking about.Well I levelled my SCH and I will say that the final trial has mutiple healing checks and a lot of mechanics have pulsing undodgable damage as well as there being a healing check in an expert dungeons trash.
If this continues throughout the expansion then at least encounters have improved for healers, even if the kits are still pretty bad especially astro post rework and Scholar being blantantly OP. Hopefully CBU3 keeps this up so healers don't feel redundant and im praying that scaled ILV won't make these checks invisible in the future.
I'll keep myself at slightly hopeful that healer gameplay will improve encounter wise and hopefully going into 8.0 the healers kits become less homogenised and perhaps different ways of dealing damage.
Still the elephant in the room is Tank sustain. People saying tanks don't need nerfing are literally coping.
Like I said I think this will probably happen too. If you actually read what I was saying, I'm just hoping powercreep will not ruin the added healing checks. EW and ShB never had anything like this which is why I'm a little surprised.
They really need to tune up the auto-attack/tankbuster damage on bosses so taking vuln stacks actually matters.
You should not be able to get away hitting the cap of 16 vuln stacks on a tank and still being able to survive everything if your healer is paying attention.
Maybe that's what we need. Runs that clear while purposefully failing as many mechanics as possible and face tanking as much damage as possible. While also not doing your rotations correctly. I wonder how much you can do without job stones.
it/its - 14 accessibility is bad, ease of access is not accessibility, jobs are boring. Transphobia ruins real attempts at criticism and it's whack.
I've done the healing checks you're talking about. and its the exact same as healing in EW. this is hard they say- i tried it. no it isn't. we had harder heal checks in EW and SHB but they were so few and far between.
"Heal check?" More like "Does the healer have a pulse? Check."
If healing checks and unavoidable damage are actually as high and common as they seem to be, are not invalidated by gear and people learning mechanics, and continue to be added in future patches I will be largely satisfied.
My issue with healers has been that damage isn’t high enough to justify our kits and our DPS kits aren’t fun enough to justify low healing requirements. So long as the devs address one of this issues I’ll be satisfied. It seems. SEEMS. Like they may have addressed the former. If so, bravo.
That said, we are in the first week of the expac so…
In this thread - multiple people thinking "because I can do something, everyone else must be able to" and then insulting the world when it's different when what they can see form their own front porch.
They are significantly higher in casual content compared to EW especially this early on. I'm not saying it's P10S harrowing hell but I am saying this might force a healer to actually pop a CD and regen to mitigate it. Which if you remember Endsinger and the three launch expert dungeons, there wasn't really anything on the same level.
It's not great, not really even good either considering that a WAR or a PLD could nulify it a lot but it is at least something noticeable.
I hope at the very least level 100 dungeons at launch will keep these soft heal checks and pulsing damage so new healers can be eased into it so therefore extremes and savage starts getting actual hard healing checks.
For sure, I think auto-attacks should hit incredibly hard in normal raids and trials since there's two healers present. For dungeons I think there should be a mixture of constant unavoidable aoe and increased auto attack damage tho not as high as a trial or raid. The healer kit is incredibly bloated at this point might as well force healers to use more of it.They really need to tune up the auto-attack/tankbuster damage on bosses so taking vuln stacks actually matters.
You should not be able to get away hitting the cap of 16 vuln stacks on a tank and still being able to survive everything if your healer is paying attention.

Filled to the brim with salt, vinegar, and unpopular opinions.
Nobody told me Fantasias were addictive, now I have to go to rehab.
