What a truly dismal thing you've made me recognize.

Square Enix could have easily given healers a rotating skill that uses our single button press to cast different but similar skills in a sequence, with different VFX, names, and potencies just like the primary filler Pictomancer attack. You'd still be pressing 11111111 to do your damage, but you would have 1) some VISUAL VARIANCE to look at for 80% of your button presses for the first time since 2019, and 2) there would be room for at least a tiny bit of skill expression, whereas 3) if you don't care about that you can still heal the party and do damage successfully exactly the same as you can now. Everyone wins.

At this point, even that, even without the procs Pictomancer enjoys, would be such a massive improvement to the stale visuals and gameplay of the healer jobs. But no, not even that much for the healers.

Even something simple like "Your 1 spam generates job gauge for an instant GCD cast" would add a lot to skill expression since you could at least plan your movements around your job gauge levels and further optimize that way.

Hell, they could literally just give us a mini-summoner rotation that comes off CD every 30s, one nuke into instacast GCD with OGCD skill to weave between casts, give it two charges so you don't have to pop it immediately and you can pick times where outgoing damage is low to use it.

All we really need is *something* to look at other than our 1 button nuke

Genuinely, just make my current buttons do more.
I actually sneak in auto attacks during ARR content as SCH/SMN just to feel something. I'm still sad they scale off the further into the game you go until they literally do nothing.

This entire fourm is kind of pointless. just play other classes if you hate what you saw in the mediatour. and now dawntrail is out just play different classes if ya'll not happy with how healers are atm.
Personally this strike makes me just wanna level a healer job and just do try to do everything i have unlocked.

The game/devs are explicitly asking people to post their feedback on the this forum. The healerstrike is just a firm feedback. That feedback isn't for you to act on. I am very sure that people giving the feedback aren't trying to adhere to your opinions about when it's worth giving feedback. If there is anything in these feedback threads that is pointless, it's discussions about the validity of feedback on the forums.

Playing other jobs for DT is actually what we do, this thread is here to tell SE why and highlight over 5 years of ignored feedbacks (this part is already a success with the noise it has made).

If you want to play a healer, go ahead, no one's stopping you - on the contrary, it might help you understand why we're on strike, or maybe help you discover a new vocation.

Convincing others to try out healers, see how they play and form their own opinions on the subject is also a point of the strike.

After asking politely for about 6 years (see healer subforum) to improve the situation for healers, I think a more firm feedback is warrented. And while a strike was by no means my own idea, I do support the innitiave as an ultimate attempt to get some sort of focus on these issues. If the strike doesn't make any difference, for me the healer role in FF is a lost cause. I'll just play the overtuned PLD.

But if someone has a better idea, beyond going back to posting feedback in the healer subforum, I eagerly await their innitiative.

Feedbacks have been submitted for more than half a decade on this forum, which is where SE tells us to voice our feedbacks.

Thoses feedback had never been responded, not even dismissed by SE. They just ignored all the feedback threads completely.

This thread is to make noise so they can't say they didn't see it anymore, maybe they will answer they won't do anything as we don't have any leverage on that other than lowering the healers number by playing something else even knowi'g that while we're several hundreds we're still only a drop in the bucket.

You said ultimatum as if we had the red button of a nuclear launch you can't be serious with that rly...

Just to play the Devil's advocate.
Feedback is not a legal court order. They can act upon it, they can take partial parts from it, they can discard it completely. I used to "scream alot" back in WoW..but eventually I understood that. I can go to their HQ and stomp my feet all I want and they still can do what they want with their product and nobody can "force" them do it otherwise.
Can only affect them "indirectly" with wallets if their financial analysts start yelling that they are going in the red and etc.
