Everything below EX designed around TA of the game, the major one. If You change this design, casuals will fall off and roulettes will be even more toxic.
60% is good number. Gunbreakers spend around 50% doing 1-2-3 combo gathering cartridges with ocasional OGCD's:
Rough sketch of gunbreaker 60s cycle: 20s burst - 1-2-3 combo - Catridge combo - 3x 1-2-3 combo. Is 1-2-3 better gameplay than 1-1-1? Not really. Healers have more distraction with healing everyone. And having Burst window longer than 5s seems counter productive to reactive nature of healer. I'm not sure changes You want will work out good in current design of a game and community overall.
It’s actually about 25% but don’t let me stop you
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
It really doesn't and shouldn't matter how much content someone has done as a healer. Healesr should have compelling gameplay at all levels of play. Not just savage/ultimate. In extreme, in dungeons, and even in solo instance duties/leveling quests, healers deserve better than they have right now imo in terms of dps buttons. (They don't need more damage total but could really use more engagement in how they do that damage, without over correcting and giving them f ull dps job rotations.)
You just need to learn to time your heals if you aren't getting enough mitigation from the parties you join, it's not that deep. Once you learn to time your heals, content becomes a breeze.
- Not saying this out of spite, if you are stressed take a step back and see the mechanics for what they are then just healing all willynilly, read your tooltips (A lot of people have that problem lately). It takes practice but when you see the bigger picture you will come to realize, oh they were right.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
1: Healers need something to do when they aren't healing, the lousy one button dps experience and occasional second just is not enough.
2: The sustain of the nonhealer jobs has taken our job from us...which has left us nothing to do besides our lousy one button dps experience.
3: We do not need most of the healing buttons...a lot of those buttons can straight up be removed or consolidated. Which would be a good thing to consolidate using the new sys.
4: Pure & Shield means nothing and having any combination of the two is just overkill.
um... no.... All my alts have the same name of my main character and I only have 2 alts and this one service account which is tied to the forums. Nice try though.
People do leave and come back to their original accounts. I have several in my FC that did that. So I don't know why you think accusing someone of lying. I was simply providing the most logical explanation of their forum join date in 2015 but them saying they started in Shadowbringers.... they started in 2015, didn't like the game or whatever, and the came back in Shadowbringers. Not that hard to figure out holy crap.
Roulettes are a major portion of the reward structure (including the gear required for harder content if not an omnicrafter) and are essential for ensuring queues pop for people trying to run specific content (story trials for instance)
Just do X will never be the answer, the game's health literally has a hard requirement of healers going into roulettes only to get level 4 gameplay at level 90.
Didn't YoshiP say once that when the people playing healer on the dev team get too good at it they get replaced? I wish I had the quote but I think it was healer specifically. I wonder if that happens for the other roles.
But you just said you have another account, your beta account.um... no.... All my alts have the same name of my main character and I only have 2 alts and this one service account which is tied to the forums. Nice try though.

And that is such a stretch of an excuse that you're providing for another person. Maybe let them speak for themselves? (≖‿≖)
Was mostly curious, since according to your lodestone achievements you do not have any on content EW EX (besides relatively recent Endsinger) clears, so yes, i could claim you're too casual, but that's beside point.Dungeons, trials, extreme trials, 8 man normal raids, 24 man raids, Variant, pretty much all of it. The only thing I've not done is extremes because I am a mom and I work full time and I cannot commit to savage prog.
What difference does it matter what content I do. The fact is I play on my sage the most when I play the game and will be progging the MSQ with sage through all story content.
And now time to pull that gate keeping card out. Because I foresee you're going to try to claim I'm some how "too casual" of a player even though I've been playing the game since Beta on ps3 and the took a break and came back in 2014 and have maintained a sub with no lapse for nearly 10 years.....
Playing the game mostly for the story content is fine. But then why should you care about this strike?
When Dawntrail is released you can go and complete MSQ on Sage, why suddenly come to forums and complaing about the strike, when as you claim it does not concern you and you will continue playing Sage just fine?
Sometimes rumors are just... rumors.
Thank you for the info. I was thinking of maybe healing the next criterion since people here keep saying it's engaging, but if I was already just one-button spamming in savage then it would be a waste of my time to gear up for criterion only to have the same one-button spam gameplay.

The problem is Mr Flower that if we make the easiest content in the game challenging enough to force the casual playerbase to learn how their characters work and actually play the game properly, they'll just cry and leave instead of actually challenging themselves. It happens EVERY TIME ANY GAME DOES THIS. I'm not saying I think healers should only have a challenge in harder content, I'm saying its not possible if square wants to keep a playerbase.
