JP forums just aren’t that active in general but healer does seem to be overall the role that they are most dissatisfied with (Kaiten was a big one but they seem collectively fine with DPS). This isn’t to say they are angry just mildly bleh about the role for a variety of reasons. A larger than most consensus seems to want more to heal which is basically the only somewhat unifying opinion. Quite a few like how easy they are but they have also got rebuked as “in a role of 4 jobs not all 4 need to be easy”

They disagree with the nature of the strike as an action but they don’t seem to oppose the idea that people want to be heard (especially because the prevailing view on the JP forums is the devs exclusively listen to us and ignore the JP forums). They don’t really like how vitriolic our forums are but theirs are also way more strongly moderated

Overall there is no real strong motion either way in JP, just a mild “bleh” they basically have about any change that isn’t like the first benchmark

Sounds like they basically have the same viewpoint we do, they're just more tempered in their response to it.

If you truly want to know how the JP players feel and their uncensored thoughts, one will need to seek out their anonymous boards (chan sites).

NA board doesn't compare to how angry and vitriolic those boards can get. Yoshi-P asking players to be kind to the developers didn't come about from the official forums.

There's no reason for them to alter healers to suit a small number players who have maxed out the game to a point where the only way to give them a new challenge is to remake healers entirely. It's better to seek out new challenges and maybe play another game for a new challenge.

The only payment I would accept to go on a -chan site is a full healer rework conceding to all requests and a "no take backsies" card.

Well unlike the other dilemma that doesn’t contradict at all

More DPS options to bring all content up, more healing mostly in high end content so the floor is unchanged in casual content but engagement is higher, floor and ceiling go up in high end content and the reliance on body checks is reduced

How? All jobs have the same amount of abilities and skills. This won't work unless they cut and add new ones.

It's about having fun more than it is being challenged. Yes, some find being challenged fun, but a lot of us agree that healers playstyle is boring, not just unchallenging.
