    It is so well designed that I'm not asking for many changes.
    - A regen spell.
    - A second sword combo (we'll probably get a Moulinet continuation anyway).

    NIN:
    - A proper stealth/hide animation when moving in stealth.
    - Actual stealth uses, like a stealing minigame, more assassination techniques while in stealth.

    SMN:
    - Permanent, physical summons like before.
    - Shiva, Fenrir, Ramuh, Odin, Shinryu, and Diabolos.
    - A "Book of Eikons" from which we can select 3 active summons (similar to BLU's book) to use in battle and make it more customizable.
    - Plus one selectable demi-summon wich is temporary but works as a very high-damage skill. Example: Anima, Bahamut,
    - Quests and trials to acquire more summons and add them to the book, similar to BLU.

    DRG:
    - Permanent wyrm pet like in FFXI.

    MNK:
    - Get rid of the "forms" system, most animations are awful and look horrible, especially kick animations.
    - Some form of "Chi Blast" as in FFXI.
    - Change the fighting stance to look more like Glasya Labolas (Syrcus Tower boss).

    MCH:
    - Reinstate the "reload" system. It was actually quite nice.
    - Automaton Queen as a permanent summon (under certain circumstances).
    - Rook autoturret should coexist with the Automaton Queen, we should have both, not one or the other.
    - More flamethrower skills.
    - At least one missile-launcher or missile-related skill.

    Not interested in any other DPS roles at this time.
    This is giving SMN way more options that any other job currently in the game, and in the end the pets couldn't do anything different from each other. If any combination offers more DPS than any other no matter how slight, then those are the ones you will be expected to use without exception.

    The 'Book of Eikons' idea is still interesting even with the system as it is, for a cosmetic feature. A job 'fluff perk' like BRD with their performance actions.

    This also potentially proofs the SMN of having the obligation to add a ton of new summons with different gameplays, as in keeping up with the SMN fantasy they're aiming for. I do believe they'll put on 3 extra gemstone summons to complete the elemental wheel, but beyond that, the 'Book of Eikons' could have you change cosmetically the summons for another of the same element, which swaps the summoning animation and the attack they perform. Potentially working to swap the 2 Demi primals too.

    For that to work, they'd have to put an actual effort in a cosmetic system, which I'm not especially hopeful, since it took them so many years to even add small improvements to the egiglam system. Not even actual new egis added in.

    for SAM:
    • Bring Back Kaiten, maybe make it Direct Hit so it's easier to balance
    • Ikishoten is okay, since we can write a macro ingame that puts Ikishoten and Ogi on one button already*
    • If I'd change Ikishoten, it be that Ikishoten turns Shinten into Senei and Kyuten into Guren, since Ikishoten aswell as Senei/Guren share a 2min cool down.
    • Shoha I is for Bosses, Shoha II is for Trash. It's a Decision YOU as a Samurai have to make. Don't demand dumping down that Job even more than it already is.
    • Less a Wish but a Prediction: We may get a Single Target Ogi for the use on Bosses and Ogi Namikiri will be the AoE Skill for Trash.
    for NIN
    • make Mug Personal Damage Boost and Trick Attack the Party/Raid Boost.. basicly just switch Mug/TA effects around
    • I can see that we may get a Raiju equivalent for Katon
    for MNK
    • Blitz Arts is cool.. but doesn't feel intergraded enough idk I wanna see some changes to that maybe a change to Perfect Balance aswell

    The cosmetic changes wouldn't be unwelcome but there would of course be some very loud complaints about how that didn't add anything to the job. I also don't think such a thing would happen because as you pointed out just getting egi glams took many years, and in the end all they did was allow you to glam carbuncle over your egis. They didn't even give you Onyx Carbuncle to glam, just the regular three you had before the egis.
