WoW had a large exodus of people and now apparently dragon flight is fun. If enough people stop playing during certain releases, it's likely the company takes notice and tries to resolve whatever the thing was causing those dropped subs. At least that's the way I see it. But also, I don't tie some part of myself to this game that needs it to be better. It's a game and while it's fun I will play it. When it eventually stops being fun I will leave. If the game doesn't show me something that's fun to come back to I won't. I don't really care if it dies from dropped subs either way.
