Well, like some said here, people are different and everyone is at different points in the learning curve. Besides that, is up to the party to act accordingly.
Healer = can heal less and do more DPS (ok, no jokes intend).
DPS = can focus more on one foe at a time and avoid AoEs more easily.
The wiser course is not making everybody act as you want them to do it, but instead adapt your acts for what the party is giving.
If the party sucks, adapt to it and cover what is lacking limited, of course, by what your role does. Never do someone else's job). If the party is fast and everybody knows what to do, focus in keep the pace the best way you can. If you see sprout in their heads and slow actions, try to be KIND and teach them giving some hints (but never expect them to listen, no one is obliged to do it).
Not all person value the same stuff as you. In an example, i have friends who like to tank in a very confortable way and go a little bit slowly, while other is more like "ok, let's break all the walls of this shitty place in a single blow!".
Like I said, people are different and this is PERFECT for us to learn how to adapt ourselves in order to get the best result AS A TEAM instead of being a blind leader.
And if you are against time, just leave the party. And if you want, go do something else. Come back to the game when things get settled outside it. To play against the clock is awful... (but, again, just a hint, follow only if you want). And it's ok if you want to leave party and the duty. The others wont even remember your name after the boss fight anyway![]()

You learn to pull IN ARR already. No excuse not to pull more

Ok this is rich. Let's take it point by point. "Giving the enemy the advantage"...you mean like pulling them before the tank is ready for them putting the enemy at an advantage? OK
And oddly enough MPK isn't the same as YPYT because the tank isn't the one pulling or sending said mobs anywhere. Its the other person pulling and bringing mobs to the tank. So by that logic the tank isn't at fault here.
You can't argue tanks using YPYT logic are uncooperative because you yourself are overstepping thus being uncooperative by pulling for them. Unless said tank asks you to or makes it known thats ok to do, you need to stay in your lane and play your role. If you want to play tank as a non tank save that for content like Bozja or Eureka
Again YPYT is ONLY an issue because others decide to pull when it's not their job. The concept wouldn't even exist if folks never did this. But it's dawned on me that a lot of the playerbase care nothing about their fellow man when it comes to things like this. It's all "speed speed speed" and I honestly don't get it.
ARR or the game don’t really teach you about big pulls. People learned by doing and becoming normalised over the years, it wasn’t always like that back in 2013 from what I remember.
Some might simply not be comfortable with wall to wall pulling. I know I had huge tank anxiety when I was starting out.
Also it’s not like you will save that huge amount of time if they pull 1 pack at a time. It’s not end of the world. We all probably prefers a big pull for our aoes but it’s not worth bitching about it on the internet, imo. It’s more so you look pretty silly for making a complaint that some tanks don’t play like you want them to.
Make a premade group next time and problem solved.

Highly depends on which dungeon level we are talking about. Early ARR, sure. But if you're still single pulling by the time of heavensward you dont want to improve. Tanking is incredibily easy. The amount of buttons you have in AoE situations is exactly your aoe combo and your mitigation. Neither is rocket science.

I like tea. I am almost always ahead of my entire party while pulling, so I never have this issue. It can be a bit of a shock sometimes when you turn around and the healer is miles away though.

some people skip ARR or HW or whatever with those skipping itens.
Others use only a role (mostly DPS) through initial content and then change for other roles at later stages of the game.
Some people feel less confortable or confident at some roles.
Some people have natural difficulties at games...
It's hard for us to just judge people without knowing their past experience. Instead, we should just be kind to them and try to help (just my opinion, everybody must do as they want). If they wont listen, well, we can just finish the whole thing just to forget after it or we just leave party and try to find another. Either way, the person will be there, at their own doing, playing like they want and can. They even wont notice if we are annoyed or not xD
As we say here in Brazil: "vida que segue" (means: "just leave it and go forward with your life"). Nobody needs to feel responsible for others actions. We just need to adapt, do our part and move forward.
