I feel like the simple solution is to talk to everyone in your party before you start. Like:

    - Whether or not the tank wants to pull big
    - Whether or not the healer can handle big pulls
    - Whether or not the DPS know their AoE rotations down

If the majority is confident in big pulls (especially the healer because if they can't handle it it's ultimately irrelevant since ya'll will just keep dying), then you should do big pulls. If the majority wants small pulls, then do small pulls. If people don't answer (due to them being a bot or just not having an opinion) then whoever is left decides the pace. Anyone breaks that or changes the plan? Kick.

If you want to have constant on-point runs completed in the time limit you want, I would suggest forming a group with people outside so you can be sure you'll get the results you want.

You cannot be guaranteed that in roulettes and the people who want to try to boss around strangers or make it all about their own needs need to also get a grip on their power/ego issues. Hard pill to swallow incoming: The world doesn't revolve around you. It is ultimately a team effort. If you're sick of a group being slow, you can bite the penalty and go take the time to form a group that shares your mentality of how quickly dungeons should be run.

Why bother talking to your teammates when you can just pull and let Hydaelyn sort out the rest?

I live by this every day when I tank. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, I adjust, plain and simple. People's ego gets in the way too much at the forefront of what's probably going to be a 15-20min run. And if shit hits the fan and makes the run longer? Dust yourself off and move on.

People putting too much stock on the possibility of wiping or not obeying the unsaid rules of tanking in a game where the devs have gone out of their way to make life easier for everyone-whether they wanted it or not--is just far too comical from where I'm standing.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

This is the main reason no matter the role I play I just pull extra more often then not it goes well enough. Also part of the reason why I do not ask cause often people will either say idc or no simply out of comfort but not for a lack of ability.
