DPS who pull mobs

My closing agrument on this, is dps pulling is griefing just as much as tank or healer not doing their job is. No matter how much it helps the group it does not excuse the act itself. Communication,vote kicking and just leaving the group are better solutions. For slow tanks or tanks going to fast then pulling for them.

Except the dps isn't not doing their job. In fact, they are actively doing it, which is to dps. If they have to stand there cuz you gotta pick your nose first before you single pull, then they are not dpsing.

If you aren't pulling, they can't do their job, which doesn't that make you the rude one first?

A tank who openly refuses to pull without explaining why is being rude. A tank who is standing silently not pulling, is likely not trying to be rude. But the impatient dps who just barreled forward and pulled without extending the silent tank the question "why are you not pulling?" is being rude. I am really starting to believe that dps players either have broken fingers or their just to impatient for words. Are you in such a rush you cant spare a simple message in chat to ask the tank to pull???

Me personally I dont care if a dps pulls, cause I treat them like a tank. My healing strat for tanks depending on the pull and pack size will kill a dps, while a actual tank will have no issues. If a tank can pull a group and go a good 7 seconds with no heal then I expect the same of any dps who pulls. I dont care if you lack a tank trait and a tanks damage mitigating abilites thats not my problem its your problem..

That's not comparable though. A DPS pulling can easily be fixed by a single tank AoE (and Overpower may actually hit everything on the first hit for a change), a tank and healer choosing not to hold hate, use defensive CD's and keep the party alive will most likely end up having someone KO, which will slow the dungeon down more so than a DPS pulling for the tank.

It boggles my mind that people choose a role known for bravely front lining and tanking large amounts of damage for their allies, a brave forward charging hero that sacrifices part of their own offensive prowess to truly fight enemies head on, decide that the best course of action is to be a petty, weak willed and arrogant dictator that cowers at the thought of having to take damage that would bring them down below 95% of their 2x health pool.

"Oh my allies are drawing in more foes so that I can perform my role of facilitating damage by grabbing and holding my enemies attentions and surviving their onslaught the best."

"Better not do my only job and value to the group by letting the filthy heathen die for insulting my precious blue icon. I've successfully hurt myself and my group by allowing a fellow party member specialized in killing the very foes that wail on me to fall in combat and that pleases my fragile ego."

Tanks have big ego's
DPS just want to die
Healers wish both would get over themselves

Answer:
Tanks you can take big hits and your not the leader of the group.
Dps your job is to deal damage. Not indulge your deep seeded need to be smacked around like a Raggity Ann doll
Healers there is no escape accept it.

I'm going to laugh so hard when the stat squish happens in 6.0 and all these W2W pullers get their rears clapped because they have so much less hp, defense and the reduction out going on damage to accompany the lowered stats..

Honestly wish SE would finally man up and make all the dungeons simular to Anamnesis Anyder, the adds coming to use then adds blocking the path till cleared and the delayed spawned adds..

Removing a toxic mentality forcefully my removing the option to force W2W pulls would do so much good for this community

Just like they claimed healers needed to heal more in Shadowbringers only for healers to still be primarily spamming Holy/AoW/Gravity because wall to wall pulls remain relatively easy, and laughably easy in any Expert dungeon? Yeah. I'm not holding my breath the stat squish will change anything. Keep in mind, they also go back and nerf old content. So...

And they already tired that in Heavensward with dungeons like Anti Tower and Hullbreaker Hard. It caused so much backlash and complaints they stopped. It's almost like people find pulling three mobs incredibly boring because they do effectively no damage. In fact, if your suggestion ever happened. You'd see a marked increase in PF pre-mades choosing to omit the tank or healer entirely because they're completely useless in a three mob scenario. I literally can't die in that first section of Anamnesis Anyder, and have even told healers not to heal me.

Forcing small pulls wouldn't reduce toxicity. It may actually increase it because that healer opting not to DPS becomes far more noticeable, and that much likely to be kicked as a result. Furthermore, it will almost inevitably increase queue times, especially for DPS players as now Hunts become infinitely superior for capping weekly tomes. They're already more efficient but adding an additional 10-15 minutes to dungeons due to forced small pulls makes them even better.
