Well first when I open my classes/jobs tab I see

Tank
Healer
Melee DPS
Physical Ranged DPS
Magical Ranged DPS

So yeah DPS have different types.

Well let's go the hall of novice, they have training for each role in the party, I see:
- Tank
- Healer
- DPS

Next up, let's go to the lodestone, and check the guide, I see:

"Party Roles
All Disciples of War and Magic possess unique traits and skills that allow them to be categorized into one of three roles: Tank, Healer, or DPS."

This can be asked for any role not only healer so it is not a valid point.

Then I guess both our points are invalid.
