    they plan to balance tanks by making them in to tanks and off tanks, essentially making it so only two are competing with each other at a time. if they did not add a tank, there would be one tank required for 8 man, and two tanks who compete for the last spot. Will this work? who knows, but they clearly have a specific plan.

    the difference in healer seems to be they plan to unify the abilities, so that everyone has barriers and heals. To me, this is kinda ehhh, because it seems 3 mages which to me, already play fairly similar will be even more a like, but perhaps they plan to make them diverse in other ways. But, essentially they want any healer to be able to compete for the same spots

    as far as diversity and creativity goes, this is pretty worrysome to me, because they dont seem comfortable with anything being too different within its sub role. But it does seem to be logical based on what type of balancing they want to achieve.

    This is also annoyingly vague. There's almost zero difference between the tanks in terms of tanking ability. mt/ot isn't a thing; unless they're talking strictly about pull priority.

    WAR is best at pulling the boss because they have the tools to do so (Unchained + Equilibrium). The other tanks don't.

    All they have to do to "balance" the tanks is to give them similar tools (I use the word balance loosely because currently the 3 tanks are very close). Potentially forcing them into an arbitrary offtank or main tank roles could create more problems.

    from what i hear warrior is the best main tank, the other two tanks compete for off tank, but warrior can still handle that. I think the problem is, off tanking is a thing, but its not like the jobs are designed for it, its just what happens when you got two guys vying for attention. So, its probably less fullfilling for tanks in that role. They will probably design off tanks so they have more to do when not tanking, and good tools for getting and giving hate.

    Just guessing. Anyway, i think the balance solution of making everyone even more similar is pretty bad. Tanks already play way too similarly for my tastes.
