The problem with this is, it is literally the exact.same.reason we were given on why there was no new healer in SB. We will see what happens, but right now it seems like a blow-off since they have had 2 years to balance it, but by their own comments have failed to do so. Why should we believe another 2 years will help anything?

It's a similar reason, but still different I think. First of all, there's the whole needing it to be a tank and balancing ranged dps reason. Then the second reason isn't just "balancing healers", but that they want to shift away from the current system of balancing they have been working with since it's not working well. I agree that people have reason to doubt though, and you shouldn't believe it will help anything if you don't want to. I don't think it was a "blow-off" to healers in any way though, as in I don't think that was their intention. Like, why would they WANT healers in their game to feel that way?

It's not. He literally said they wanted to balance Tanks, and Healers, before adding any new ones before SB launched. Now we are still hearing that Healers need to be balanced. You can attribute any meaning to what he said that you want to, but I am going by only what was explicitly said.

edit: I should note that I am not completely up in arms about the lack of a healer, I am still immensely excited for ShB. That said though, we best not hear the same thing for a third time two years from now.

I am going by what he explicitly said as well, I posted it pages and pages back, but google MrHappy's interview and he said they wanted to get away from shield/direct heal duality. In other words, in 4.0 they tried to make shield/direct heal paradigm work and it isn't that dynamic so now they want to try to make something else work instead. If they can get that to work, I imagine it'll be easier to add a 4th healer, and, depending on the new paradigm, maybe even introduce brand new types of healers with less balance issues.

This is the problematic part of our discussion. The above is pure conjecture. If they do try something different, great! If it works, even more great! However, I have seen nothing that, at this point, leads me to believe they will be trying anything different at all. Words are cheap, as they say. We will see two years from now.

Or the rebalancing could not work out again or possibly if it does work out and 6.0 comes around and only dps are announced.
I wonder what will then be the reasoning....
