I do feel like we're putting too much stock and faith in the Dramaturge's words. I get he's supposed to be the Viera creator similar to how the Wandering Minstrel is Yoshida, but at the same time it wouldn't make sense that everything he said is 100% accurate, or that he said 100% of what was there to say.
So while I do think he would've mentioned it if there were other differences, who's to say he necessarily knew about them? He could've confused two Viera belonging to the one tribe thinking they came from different tribes because the skin color was so different (a not unreasonable mistake). And that's before we get to the lore of the different tribes/clans - how much would someone really know about such subtle differences, for such a secret society? Viera are reclusive and exclusive. There's a limit to how much he would know, or at least have had first hand experience with. For instance, he's never seen a male Viera before, and while that could easily be them crushing our hopes for the bunny boys, it doesn't change my point - as much as he is a mouthpiece for the story-teller, the Dramaturge still isn't even remotely depicted as an all knowing authority
