Aye, that's the kicker with MMOs - they get a different set of 'rules' and their butts covered. While your ordinary game, they pulled this crap out and it wouldn't work at all. Aye, we don't know about 'Dancer' - ultimates etc. Of course, they're not using those as an advertisement centre point.

I mean, right on the Shadowbringers page "New jobs" "Gunbreaker... and more" In fact, almost everything posted as features of Shadowbringers we know next to nothing about.

Unfortunately, that's how marketing works. If they'd just announced everything one way or another, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as popular a topic. If we knew from the get-go that Viera were gender-locked, there would have been about a week of rage and then people would have moved on - look at BLU. It still comes up once in a while, but mostly people ignore it. And given that Paris was only a few days before presale, they would probably have hurt their preorder sales. If they'd announced the males with the females, there would have been some rejoicing, and after a few days there would only be a handful of really happy folks discussing their plans and a handful of unhappy folks talking about how wrong the look is, and everybody else would be content to sit back and wait for the benchmark.

Humans thrive on drama, controversy, and the unknown, and marketing takes advantage of that. They know how popular Viera was to the fans, and I don't think they wanted to risk playing with hype over another class seeing that BLU has soured people and any speculation about GUN would probably have trended much more pessimistically than this has. Either way, if they'd announced one way or another already there wouldn't be a 311-page thread with people working themselves into a froth of anticipation over the final info.

You guys are going so deep into your hopefulness now lol. Saying that Ronso is any less of a furry than a bunny race is ridiculous. And thinking that they would have to state outright that they aren't releasing a male Version because of laws is pretty out there. I mean, all the info will be out before shadowbringers comes out either way.

Actually i only brought up the EU law stuff because Gwenorai brought up something about an asterisk on the website and i found the law interesting and decided to share after that it was just opinion stuff

I'm sure 'Ronso-like' race would certainly tickle someone's fancy. Still interested in how that's going to be like without straying into Miqote territory. I still can't imagine it being that beast like in appearance.

I'm not going to argue that them being 'beast' like wouldn't make sense - if anything it's going to lead to some hilarious cutscenes with people screaming about beast men and wanting them dead and WoL is just 'Lul, okay - just not me, okay?' Or them talking to Imperials and not one of them taking a potshot. That cutscene with the emperor is going to have me snort. Nah, can't see them being that beast like.
