o: You would have to look at my point again regarding the male viera concept art that was shown after his talks regarding gender locking. He did state he found the concept art still being seen as 'too cute' but it was shown anyway. And of course, his wants for not showing the Viera concept art wasn't his dislike of the male Viera there - it was because he knew people would have wanted the Viera race then and there, and he liked what they already had with Aura.

I figure the fact the males were even part of the original concept art that it has been thought about. As for Japan being a difference in regards to wants. I've actually seen more male Viera art from Eastern artists than I have Western. You can look into the Japanese forum as well and see the threads there regarding Viera. I don't think it's just the 'west' complaining here - that's a jump to make.
