I posted the discord leak like yesterday already lost in the wave of sorrow and opinions lol. Basically guy called the kirin and vermillion items in hydatos, claimed crystal tower is coming back and claimed male Viera isn't coming

I kinda refuse to believe those leaks. But thats just me trying to stay positive.
Genderlocking a race wont do any good for the Dev Team. The community will respond to that and demand for M/F of both races.
While I am ok staying Miqote, I doubt another musclehead race will be popular. People that play Roe, Au Ra or Highlander will just fantasia to a Bara cat, making those races even more extinct (esp. Roe's)

Yeah. Not saying whether it's accurate or not. Like I said before it's fishy to say like where you work and stuff. We will see what is good for the dev team though. Kinda like with all the other disasters people bring up in this forum, it's all just some people being super vocal. At least they have been listening to feedback.

Becoming a leaker and announcing where you work at is just asking to be fired.
But another thing I haven't seen discussed here is the leaker talking about the other discord leaker that got too 'excited' and spread misinformation. When you put them side by side, the new leaker really didn't offer anything different. The Kirin Osode, Vermillion Cloak, and Crystal Tower (except for the cat part, which I guess can be counted as new information) were already confirmed before the new person rolled in. And of course, you can argue that the older one really was told this information by the new one... but it's still a bit odd imo.

Edit: Two other things about both of the leaks. The older one mentions, "my sources" which can be the newer person. But still, I too can confirm old information and refuse to mention anything about MSQ even tho I clearly told the other leaker about MSQ things (Minfilia and the Crystal Tower portal).

For me it is the omission of the new race's name that has me most skeptical about the leaks by the time the main story is known to include past side stories a new race would at least have a tentative name like Adam and Eve were for Omega M and F so not saying it is suspicious especially when you pair it up with a description of said race. Another thing to add is the new 8 man raid series is still hidden which would be long past conceptual stage at this point, when it comes to leaks the more you say the more chances you have for being credible this leak has very little information and it is both upfront and vague at the same time.

In the end we'll never really know about the leaker, or whether they were right or wrong (unless it comes true.) The gender-locked thing could have been right but they changed it due to outcry or just because they wanted to discredit the leaks. (Now, I don't believe any "new" leakers because it's too easy to jump on the hype train for attention and trollery, especially since there's already a basis for all of your leaks. It's a lot more likely to be believed when someone pulls "gunblade" out of nowhere before we even meet the "new" NPC that suggested it than it is when you just say "yeah! What they said! I corroborate!")

It could all be a publicity stunt - I don't remember anything in SB getting this much discussion.

In the end, what is is and we'll find out in a week or two.

Crystal tower was an obvious bet since we knew we were in M.D and the tower is a way to travel from shard to shard. Wasn't that leaker the only one who was claiming the lock? The other two never mentioned a gender locked - which I figure would be one heck of a thing to let loose. But yeah, I only recall one of them talking about the lock. Either way I'm going to steel myself as I'm honestly curious on how they're going to go about this is the male Viera isn't added in. Curious about that argument.

I'm all too ready to be grumpy about lack of male Viera and pray that Hrothgar looks semi-decent, otherwise I'm sticking to mid hyur - unless highlander gets eyebrows.

I agree about that leaker that mentioned the gender lock, much of what they said was simply "confirming" previously leaked information. The only actual evidence that points to a possible gender lock is based on a previous quote years ago from Yoshi-P. If you take the other two leaks at face value along with the bug in-game that lead to Hrothgar(along with Viera) being mentioned in the first place with both gender identifiers it isn't unreasonable to hope we could be getting two races of both genders.

A lot of this assuming a gender lock is from thinking there's no way devs had the time or manpower to commit to adding two full races and their suggested dislike of "cute" male viera but I like to lean toward optimism so I wouldn't say all hope is lost.

I'm eagerly awaiting fanfest along with what reveals we'll see and I'm hoping they wouldn't do anything that would dampen the hype of a good portion of the player base going into shadowbringers by introducing gender locked races of all things.
