Gay subcultures ARE based off people’s body types. Twinks=skinny, bears=big and stocky, and otters=lanky and hairy. I described it that way on purpose to explain the rationale behind that other guys thinking.

I think for normalcy’s sake that Viera males don’t fall into either category too much, just something in the middle that doesn’t look too extreme.

I mean, from the concept art, male viera seem to fall right into that hairy and lanky category. What with all the chest hair SE kept putting on them.

But seekers of the sun are based on lions, it seems a bit odd to me to add a new race using the theme of a race already in game. I assume they will have a different build but seems odd to get two new races both very close theme wise to the most popular in game race.

I mean, the Viera are based on moon keeper gender roles so.... Seems like SE would just keep ripping off Miqo'te for new races since they did it with female Au Ra's basic silhouette...

I'd go further than and say Viera are jsut more extreme Keepers of the Moon they have the exact same theme and don't really offer anything setting wise that keepers couldn't have done.

To be fair Blufever was part of a translation team, so all the leaks we got were based off text, and text alone.

That is a pretty big assumption, do you happen to have a solid source on that? Because it was assumed he was on the localization or perhaps a QA team but those are just assumptions. He could have very well just been friends with someone else who worked on the game that relayed information to him. We don't know which team he was on or if he even worked for SE at all, so it's anyone's guess as to what form he was made aware of the information. Even if he was just on the localization team, that doesn't mean he wasn't privy to visual references or more detailed descriptions of the races.

Your whole argument hinges on something I don't think you can prove anyways, so it's not a very valid one.
