Most people are trying to tell you that it's something that YOU can change, or at least get some control over. It won't be easy, and it might require some professional help, but there is no shame in admitting you have a problem and wanting to do all you can to make it right. In fact, I have a lot of respect for people who do. You are at least stable enough to know what you're doing. That tells me that you can be helped if you choose.
