Gunblade job must be a DPS.

I have a feeling I'm gonna have a lot of hate for this but...

I'm an FF8 fanatic. Final Fantasy 8 is MY LIFE. And in Final Fantasy 8, which is where the gunblade is from, the ultimate gunblade ability (Lionheart), is an extremely damaging attack.

In FF8, there is no such thing as a tank. All 6 characters are DPSes, including Selphie (if only because of her "The End" ability). I think the gunblade's origin should reflect in FF14.

Not only that, it's a GUN-BLADE. It's both a GUN and a BLADE. It SCREAMS DPS.

Please please please, make it a DPS job. Let the devs introduce a new tank class but please make the gunblade DPS.

With Blue Mage dropping early, I think it's overly optimistic to expect more than two new jobs introduced in Shadowbringers, and they should really be a tank and healer. If a gunblade job ends up being one of them, between healing and tanking, I can only see them tanking. No new tanks/healers since HW is too long of a wait.

BLU is a Stormblood job imo (cuz it comes out in 4.5 and not 5.0) . for shadowbringers they said we will get Multiple new jobs so it can be said we will get 1 more DPS for the expansion so gunblade could be a DPS job ( tho I want it as a tank tbh)

they say the same in stormblood fanfest and we get 2 jobs only, multiple new jobs only means more that 1, and i doubt we get it as a dps we have to many melees DD right now, it will be a bit unfair get a new one.

It's most likely going to be a tank and Dancer will be heals. A bit late to ask them to change so you can hope. I think personally we got enough dps jobs in 4.0 and with Blue Mage.

I want Dancer as a healer(/support) SOOOO BAAAAD! I was a DNC in XI but, y'know, no one wanted it =( when other classes could either heal, support, or DPS better. Sad dancer!

Blue mage is a tank Job. It has tank stance with Mighty Guard. So Let Gunblade be called commando and be the physical dps that concentrates on hard punishing hits and the leaps out deliver finishing moves.
