There was no title, no achievements, no timestamps. Only the White Ravens.
So, once everyone will get them for free, it will delete from the game the accomplishment of players who worked hard that summer to clear that fight, as it was requiring lots of resources, involvement and skill. You were asked to really step up your game.

It would be different if it was the same treatment done for the Ultimates, as for them there's an achievement with timestamps permanently written to your character page. It would not delete the accomplishment from the game.

That's why the best way to handle this situation, is to bring back the item, but with a different name, like a replica, that way everyone is happy.

Corue or solracht explained it really well.
Sorry, still a differing of opinions here. 1.0 is gone. You wouldn't have that timestamp either if they'd just scrapped XIV and made it into XVI, a different game. These items were never intended to be exclusive; they became exclusive due to the fact that the fight was removed. I get that people feel strongly about it, I just don't agree. And on the same side, they can go back and add "replica" or whatever to the ones being given out during the event if they deem it necessary. I'm not desperate for some piece of 1.0 to have and hold and look back on.
