You were the one who made the claim in the first place that no one would fire or refuse to hire someone because of an embarrassing or disgusting picture. Saying you disagreed with the mentality regarding FFlogs because it would not happen in another instance.

People are arguing that it happens, and you are saying that it doesn't. You were the one who brought it up, it had not been brought up prior. You're the one who made a claim you couldn't prove without having to go through the "policy of every company in existence," not us. You brought it upon yourself. No one has any reason to believe your viewpoint unless you back it up with facts, and since you made such a general, blanket statement about how it would never happen, it is functionally impossible for you to do so.

Like someone said, stop digging yourself into a deeper hole than you are already in. I'm also sick of being constantly alerted to this thread being updated because of such a meaningless argument. We get it, you don't like FFlogs. There is literally no endgame and nothing to accomplish by continuing down this path aside from puzzling or disappointing onlookers. When you found you couldn't find common ground with people who told you that it's the right of others to look at your logs, or whatever, you should've realized you will never change their minds, and you cannot "prove them wrong," as it is purely opinion.

Being petty and spiteful doesn't make you more correct than before, the sarcastic misquotes really speak volumes of your maturity.

If you're so irked, then deal with it. You're literally derailing an entire thread and your original argument just because you disagree with people on what "burden of proof," means. You even just admitted it. You're the one who brought up something without proof, no matter what you say it's just flat out hypocritical to expect other people to prove that you're incorrect when you never proved you were correct in the first place. Just stop.

In the context of philosophy, this is what it says for the "burden of proof." Guess who was the one who made a claim that others disputed, which challenged the status quo, as every other person who has replied disagreed with you?

In the context of a legal dispute. The problem is that you are not initially presumed to be correct to anyone but yourself, and no one has any reason to give you the benefit of the doubt. So aside from your self-importance, this definition is irrelevant.

We do know what “burden of proof” entails. You made the initial claim that companies will continue to hire employees based on less-than-favorable social media posts; even if people bring up situations to refute yours, you still need to provide proof that your argument is true. Hence why I said, the burden of proof lies with you.

Regardless, the analogy offered didn’t have anything to do with FFLogs, or the discussion at hand. FFLogs is only loosely related to the thread topic, only because said topic is about OP being kicked from Hunt LS and dungeons due to supposedly subpar DPS, and someone kicking them from a ShinEx group for having poor parses. Which, while it sucks, the PF leader can rightfully do that; it’s their PF, their rules.

Interesting question. It addresses tanks, tank dps, ensuing silliness and pointless conflict. It addresses the moronic over-reliance on dps logs, which are fundamentally flawed. It addresses the chronic inability of dps oriented min/maxers to chill out, and maybe put fun higher on their list of priorities. You may have to read between the lines, but it speaks to the core of why this thread even exists.

You have a point there.

Since I roll tank in my group of 6 (+2 PF'ed people) we don't have to bother with 30 apm tanks with 100%-ShO/Grit/Defi. uptime, without shirk and reprisal, doing 20+ emnity combos and sitting on full gauge/mp all the time.
You see? I don't even need this baaaaad "dps" to judge a player. I can even hear the superfluous Skull sunder/BB Combos and all the other information are available in-game, too.
