The numbers that are coming out of FFlogs are changing constantly. we can get a general idea of what classes are falling behind because of large discrepancies, but calling for nerfs already is foolish.

Would have also hoped for a meta with 3 casters, "parallel / as alternative" to the physical meta we've had for a while.I do agree that caster heavy comps need limelight for once as the meta has always been either 3/4 or 4/4 physical. I was really hoping for a caster meta and Melee meta .. thats what you get when you focus on physical damage (Real talk, why is embolden and brotherhood only physical damage?? It's honestly like they want it to be 3/4 physical.)
Also don't get why embolden has to buff only physical dps.
Laughable at the blm U-hearts issue and dps compared to Rdm.., and ofc compared to Sam, as it"s "no- or little-dps utility" dps twin.
Blm can barely get into serious pfs or raid statics, ... same problem as in 3.5, but now even worse. The other classes are too OP.. or synergies too well together (again physical buffs).
It's also important to remember interim damage. Without any buffs, a Monk is hitting as if they hadBrink of Death with all of their buffs. Classically a Monk needs time to get that top DPS spot. A Sam is hitting hard a fair bit earlier in it's rotation than a Monk.
Embolden is a bit like RDM giving Raging Strikes back to every DPS class except for Summoner and Blms. This really feels like an intentional dick move to ensure RDM can bribe their way into taking priority casting spot. Because regardless of how good the RDM is, people are only gonna want you for that embolden. I wouldn't be saying this if it affected BLMs and SMNs too because I don't think it's a bad ability but the way it's been implemented speaks volumes.

Just a question, does Ninki actually degrade? I was under the impression that it works like Kenki and doesn't. And most people have realized that DRG and MCH are in a bad place right now. I don't think anyone is arguing that they're good.Monk, Ninja and DRG can all LOSE their resources. Their main means of DPS, simply because the boss decided to jump away or the mechanic dictates that you leave the boss for a certain amount of time.
Now, these 3 melee can attempt to upkeep their buffs with various abilities, but it does require a decent amount of player skill to do so.
SAM? Boss leaves? So what, Sen and Kenki is there to stay. They're simply not punished at all by boss mechanics. Their rotation is very simple too, and requires no double weaving of any kind. The most complex thing SAM has is Kenki skill usage, which does take time to get used to I'll admit.
Overall, I really do feel DRG or even MCH is a harder job to play than SAM. Which kinda debunks the whole "this job is so strong because it's difficult" comment.
The easiest way to balance selfish DPS and DPS with support abilities is to remove support abilities from those DPS classes altogether. Distribute them among your tanks, healers and ranged support (brd/much) and simply worry about numbers with DPS classes. I don't see that happening, though.

This is true, we can also see that Sam hits for a "static amount" for the most part throughout the fight and doesn't have damage boosting cooldowns except for kaiten which is used on 2 moves. Mnk gets a really good buff from RoF, GL and debuffs which has mnk hitting hard pretty fast.
They're different, that's all.
How many people here even play SAM at the optimal lvl? Lot of folks here saying it's so easy, which I think their ease is next to most melee, yet where are your high parsing logs to back up anything you arguing?
Unless you parsing at least purple on whatever class your arguing for, your comments are invalid because I can assume you're a mediocre player complaining about things you don't understand fully.
Oath, blood, Lily, Beast, Ninki, Kenki, Ammo, Aetherflow, Chakra, Fairy, B/W Mana and HEAT all don't degrade if they aren't used, and stay wherever they were indefinitely when you aren't hitting stuff. I remember wandering around for a while with 95 Heat outside of my FC for a few hours because I was lazy and it never dipped. The only point gauges empty if you change zones.

Take it easy there, tiger. No need berate players based on parse and invalidate their voice in a discussion with said 3rd party tools. I'm fairly certain that's frowned upon, and possibly expressly forbidden, by SE.How many people here even play SAM at the optimal lvl? I'm not mad at anything. Yes people can have opinions but when people start to push their opinion as FACT on how things should be handled, that's where the problem is.
Many folks have been using FFLogs to toss numbers around this entire thread but we can't use them as a means to validate themselves?
