It's because of the i150 level sync that any of that PvP gear you get will be shit compared to anything you meld outside of PvP. You'd be better off just using gear post-i150 and melding the appropriate materia to it and have a PvP setup VS a PvE setup. PvP gear hasn't been relevant in a loooooooooooooooooooooong time, man. If you come into The Feast wearing any of the PvP gear, people are probably going to laugh at your ass, ask you what you're doing, and probably call you a noob.

PVP gear is only good in the sense that it generally doesn't have all that excess accuracy lore gear has. Thus ppl use it to min/max the stats they want (generally trying to max crit and then det on most dps). Of course no full set of PVP gear is gonna be the optimal set to wear that's why you mix and match and given that the ilvl sync is so low there's no shortage of gear to play with. I'm not sure what you mean when you mention the melds on PVE raiding gear as its disabled and useless in PVP. Most sets will consist of a mix of pvp and pve gear depending on the stats on said gear and what the person is trying to max.
