Honestly its not taking away a layer of depth (as far as chocobos go) since these are Company issued chocobos. We've still got to see what combat system, breeding system, and other things they have planned for Chocobo content.

Not to mention there are still alot of people that will need to do multiple Grand Company content to get the rank/seals required.
