Sorry but so many points made in the OP have been stated by others before; however theyare lost here in the emotion and unprofessional rant approach. I loved FFXI and do want some of the good things to return but am happy with the direction the crew is taking. I am hopeful they will achieve their goal of appealing to a broader audience (than FFXI) while giving the game enough challenge and uniqueness.

8 people adds flexibility to the group were in 11 people always looked for a strict party structure which made finding groups take longer.

Just thought i would throw my two cents in about OP's post.
As is usual and kinda sad hes a hugh FFXI Fanboy and wants part 2... cause he is Hardcore and likes waiting for 20 hours.
Although i liked XI and played for a year and a half, it had many bad issues like(stupid time sinks) which finally fustrated me to the point where i quit. I actually have a job and life outside this game... Note to Producer: if you want me and most of your soon to be paid subscribers to quit make us wait for no other reason than to just make us wait...
that being said lets go through the OP's list...

1 (Leveling) OP wants: only full party groups to make XP , with little to no soloing and no xp for quests. XI style
What I want: the ability to choose...so some days groups, some days solo, some days quests, or a mix when i want, but still make sure there is a good reason to group up, like better drops and more xp.

2 (Grouping) OP wants exactly how FFXI was6 person groups period..
What I want: Group play is to me why I play MMORPG's so yes i want this game to stay based around group play of all types, like(quests, grinding, dungeons, etc...), but unlike OP i want to have a group of 3 get reasonable XP or have a group of 8 if a few extras show up. I also want to be able to grind solo for a less XP , but still worth while amounts. the ridgid 6 person group is a hugh time sink when you have a lack of players at that level range, i dont want to wait an hour to get a group together. get 3 and start leveling and as others join move to tougher areas. That =enjoying my time playing not starring at the screen waiting for the missing member that completes your group.

3 (Quest) OP wants for items and story and fame only and no XP , guess what just like FFXI
What I want quest for are fun grouping and solo content with some XP and everything OP wanted as well.

4 ( crafting) ME and OP are pretty much the same other than id like to see it all more like the mining where i at least feel like i have a chance to make a difference, with( skill or technique...) and lose some of the steps...

5 (Sense of Accomplishment) Agree with op here this game just doesnt have any sense of adventure,big open worlds with nothing to do, but i think(hope) a fix here is coming

6 (endgame) OP wants FFXI style end game..
ME i say that end game is and should be aimed towards the more hardcore players, but make the content really tough with good drop rates like 100% , but so tough you only win one in every 10 fights because you have to be perfect... Thats REAL HARDCORE!!! not fight this guy 50 time so you might get a chance at his 1% drop rate. time sink BS

I wouldnt expect "end game" content any time soon. We're just getting around to truly fleshing out the game universe itself.

Long time XI player, and all I want is a game thats full of expected FF references, while maintaining its own identity, as well as providing players with lots of things to do as a group and/or solo.

Seriously, if you like FF11 that much, go play it. As for me, I've played and enjoyed 11, but at this point... been there, done that, time to move on. If SE turn this into FF11-2, I'm outta here, I don't need to spend years playing the same thing again.

I fail to see how my progress so far, which were all done in a game that's not a FF11-2, is an indication that I won't leave if this game turns into FF11-2. I'd just go back to Eve Online full time if that happens - which, incidentally, is far more "hardcore" than FF11 ever was.

Too many errors to respond seriously. Congrats on your first post but the sentiment has been beaten to death by many people in many different threads. The post isn't well written enough to change anyone's mind who thinks differently.

Different generations have different opinions and not all 'hardcores' want this to be like XI nor are all FF fans 'hardcore'.
