No so sure about that - ifrit only really does like 20 more dps single target than garuda - and since radiant shield contributes nothing on the dummy, contagion = 3 ruins extra per minute plus extra dps from extending DWT dots plus opener fully buffed dots.

i'm sure it's more than 20 dps. Ifrit's autos should cover the extra ruins you are getting from contagion. Also those buffed contagion dots are around 3 more ticks, so the only burst you will be noticing is within the opener. The parse should drop eventually to a certain point and at that certain point ifrit will be on top because of its consistency. These are my thoughts though, no numbers to prove this with yet.

I'll go for a marathon parse when my connection stops slacking.

I have done this recently multiple times to test - i183 with a hive weapon so I can provide some insight here. On a 5 minute dummy parse with just the pet attacking, with just Garuda (Obey) and Ifrit(Sic) - Ifrit wins by about 30 dps - which would be amplified a bit with Rouse and Spur usage.

Keep in mind Radiant Shield is counting as the DPS of the person its on, and yes depending on the fight its a small increase but still an increase. I feel like right now both pets are very viable.

Low movement fights, with little AoE or targets seperated too much for proper AoE. Ifrit wins.

High movement fights with lots of target switching/AoE- Garuda pulls ahead.
