ACT is not tracking dots correctly in accordance with the new spellspeed/skillspeed buffs. People are doing higher than what ACT is parsing.

Both Titan and Ravana stomps are magical.

Radiant Shield is tracked correctly, its both in the combat logs and memory. It is also not a dot, and for those reasons I determine that radiant shield is very under whelming and doesn't work like we think it works.
For example, I haven't confirmed but it looks like any type of shield or ability that neglects dmg will also neglect the proc from radiant shield. Also, currently the way it is tracked in ACT, the damage reads out from the person it proced from... so if you look under outgoing dmg from the tank, you will see radiant shield.
There truly isn't a very viable spot to use ifrit over garuda other than preference to the user.
Nobody said anything about it being a dot or a proc, it's instant raw damage being reflected or buffed directly. Not sure how ACT is calculating the damage, we tried tracking it after the fight by retrieving logs and it wouldn't even show that some people received the buff when they were all in range, even during cleaves. ACT seems a little lost atm but I'm sure it'll get fixed eventually.
When you say "neglect" what do you mean? I said earlier that even with stoneskin, you are reflecting the 50 potency damage regardless.
There isn't a fight where there is a frequent physical aoe damage, but like I said titan/ravana's stomps would be insane damage since it's multiple hits in a row. Maybe even shiva's sword stance can do a physical aoe damage. I never kept count or cared about physical damage hits that were directed at the party but I guess it matters now. Also, when I'm saying 450-500 potency it's a cumulative.

Correct, when it comes to DoTs all he sees on the memory size is a huge chunk of dot dmg (everyones) ... there is a calculation that takes place at the level, I don't know the full science behind it - but as for radiant shield... its not a dot, it is stored in the combat log and in the memory as radiant shield damage - no calculation needed.
Last Ravanna I had I think a total of 3 to 4k radiant shield dmg... thats adding up everyones.

That can't be right, if radiant shield is activated every other minute it should increase the tanks dps for 15 secs, so for say 8 mins including the cleaves it's way more. I shall test it when I can play.

My main concern is our low single target dps - I can parse on a blm (which is not my main) in the 1150 range....a good pull on my smn I hit around 1050-60. I agree with what some of the people said on the forums, pet seem to be scaling incorrectly.

What type of scaling? I did see one post where pet damage in the same gear would decrease while player level increased, which is probably due to the way pets are coded similar to secondaries.
i.e.
1 point of crit @ lvl 50 is greater than 1 point of crit @ lvl 60.
Pet must be effected this way even with primary and MD stats. But luckily we get more stats per gear at higher levels to offset that.

Or is there a different scaling issue that people are noticing? Like pets just aren't increasing in performance at the same rate as the master?

Anyone else find themselves burning Dread Flare almost immediately just because they want to get that AOE off on as many mobs as possible before your team mates kill any?

The difference is so huge, too. Now it takes ~43 Crit to gain 1% critical hit rate and 1% critical hit damage. Another fun number is that it takes ~73 SS to gain 1% DoT damage... Good thing the Alexander set seems to prioritize Crit > Det > SS (although the BLM in me is crying).
I imagine it's a combination of both. The pets are a lower percentage of our overall DPS now, but this is also due to the new attacks increasing the player's personal DPS rather than impacting the pet output. This is anecdotal, but I feel like the pets were a much small portion of our DPS back in i90 than they were at i130 as well; I think things will balance themselves as item level increases.Pet must be effected this way even with primary and MD stats. But luckily we get more stats per gear at higher levels to offset that.

I'm pretty guilty of this in A2. Can't have the BLM or WHM stealing my AOE potential, gotta stay above 1500 sustained. >.>
