Nothing. There is nothing for me to really buy with my gil. So I personally would like to see this added.Honestly, i don't really care either way. Gil is almost useless in the game anyway, all the higher tier stuff is U/U and earned through Marks/Tombs/etc the only real big thing that it might effect is housing, which is a disaster in and of itself. Other than that, what can you buy with gil that is of any significance?
I quoted Bayhone above as have others with them saying things will change if it continues to be a hot button issue. Why do you ignore that? But I thank you for the continued debate over this because you might help them effect that change. Why do you equate "I havent seen them do anything about it" with "therefore they must think its ok"? That is the definition of an argument from ignorance.Incorrect. SE themselves confirmed that the sale of wedding bands was entirely within the existing rules of the game. I'm sure you would like them to follow up and CHANGE those rules, but they haven't and they have shown no signs of actually being willing to take that step.
No. I would not. I would rather make sure my money is going directly to SE to continue the game development. I also would not want to use this as a way to get my own house because this is, in my books, considered cheating along with AFK in choco racing, AFK in CT, etc.
But... it would be? Your gil = someone else's money going to SE. Same thing as your money going to SE. Doesn't matter whose it is, SE is getting the money.No. I would not. Have you ever tried to pentameld accessories with Grade 4 materia? I assure you, it's not cheap.Honestly, i don't really care either way. If this system were to follow the PLEX system, you'd actually be contributing more money to SE by buying with gil, as PLEX actually cost slightly more money than a regular monthly subscription.
Or my gil could be going to an RMT to be sold once again. As it is i avoid MB as much as possible and prefer to harvest my own stuff.
I would just prefer it not be in. To me it seems to cheapen/weaken the games image. These systems almost make a company seem, desperate? Maybe it's just me.
Unless you're giving your credit card information to an RMT website to buy an in-game PLEX item (which you can get for cheaper and more safely directly from SE), there's no way an RMT can profit from PLEX. There is literally no reason you'd want to risk your account by choosing to buy PLEX from from an RMT website over an authorized seller like SE.
That's even assuming personalized sales of a PLEX equivalent are possible, which in some games (like Wildstar) they are not.
No, that is a good word for it. Most games that change from full sub to freemium options do so as a desperate grab for more money because they are bleeding subscriptions, or as an uninformed moneygrab which results in the same sub bleeding they likely wish to avoid.
I still cannot think of a single sub-based MMORPG that is not now worse off after adding freemium options to the extent that legalized RMT would.
Can you?
