Incorrect. SE themselves confirmed that the sale of wedding bands was entirely within the existing rules of the game. I'm sure you would like them to follow up and CHANGE those rules, but they haven't and they have shown no signs of actually being willing to take that step.

I quoted Bayhone above as have others with them saying things will change if it continues to be a hot button issue. Why do you ignore that? But I thank you for the continued debate over this because you might help them effect that change. Why do you equate "I havent seen them do anything about it" with "therefore they must think its ok"? That is the definition of an argument from ignorance.

No. I would not. I would rather make sure my money is going directly to SE to continue the game development. I also would not want to use this as a way to get my own house because this is, in my books, considered cheating along with AFK in choco racing, AFK in CT, etc.

Or my gil could be going to an RMT to be sold once again. As it is i avoid MB as much as possible and prefer to harvest my own stuff.

I would just prefer it not be in. To me it seems to cheapen/weaken the games image. These systems almost make a company seem, desperate? Maybe it's just me.

No, that is a good word for it. Most games that change from full sub to freemium options do so as a desperate grab for more money because they are bleeding subscriptions, or as an uninformed moneygrab which results in the same sub bleeding they likely wish to avoid.

I still cannot think of a single sub-based MMORPG that is not now worse off after adding freemium options to the extent that legalized RMT would.

If this system were to follow the PLEX system, you'd actually be contributing more money to SE by buying with gil, as PLEX actually cost slightly more money than a regular monthly subscription.

That's even assuming personalized sales of a PLEX equivalent are possible, which in some games (like Wildstar) they are not.
