Coil Lite Please

Coil is my favorite part of the game and something I like to work towards, why do some want to take that away from the players who enjoy the difficulty? snip...why should you have the rewards handed to you for minimal work?

In regards to the bolded text. How is a story Coil taking away from everyone else? It would only add more content for everyone to participate in. Want the difficulty and rewards? Fine, then do the original Coil then. Story Mode is not going to hurt our self esteem. There would be no loot as said a thousand times in this thread. The bottom line is Coil was made for the higher than average player skill levels. The problem: SE decided to throw in the major story arches in that content. Story content should be available to everyone.

It's rather interesting to note, that only 7.4% of all players on PS3/PS4 have beat T5 (as that's the percentage of PSN FFXIV accounts that have the trophy for doing so). I'd imagine numbers for PC are pretty similar.

Given that abysmal number, is it any wonder that people want a "Story-Mode"? Coil will still be for the top 10% of players, just with that mode it lets the other 90% at least experience the lore.

Isn't it only 59% have even completed the main story?

Not Sure if that is a reference to the subscription or not. But if it is, I have to say that subscription does not mean you have to be able to do everything. Only that you are allowed to use their services, like their servers.

Considering that the attention rate of players is fairly low on this game. Which means that most players quit before they even could start coil. So that 7.4% is actually higher when you take that into consideration.
