Nope exp was not cut in half you got it in full. Also when you synced it wasn't just you it was the entire party. So if you built a party that consisted of a Rank 20, 33, 47, 50 the party leader would sync the party to the lowest party members level so the Rank 20 in this case. So if you killed something at R20 that gave 200 SP then everyone would get 200 SP regardless of their true rank while under the level sync.

ok i guess im thinking of syncing as something different then
thought you meant the level capped areas that lowered you to their levels
