Looking up the patch, 6.2, "HP restoration over time will no longer generate enmity with each tick of healing." I think all the enmity for HoTs is frontloaded to the initial cast.My apologies for not noticing this.. HoTs no longer pull aggro? that would change things a fair bit. I am so used to that I never noticed if they didnt because I try and time regens to end before the next pull because I hated getting mobbed while the tank ran past them lol.
Rather than frontloaded, it's an artificial enmity that happens when you apply some buff not unlike when you use Peloton from outside combat to your battling ally, which also puts you into a combat state because of said artificial enmity.

well they can't keep necrobumping this dead horse forever.
They may have to close it down at some point, there were some several year old threads about duty finder experiences and for posting pictures of characters that got big enough that they started stressing out the backend stuff on the forums.
But people can always make a new thread when that happens.
It'd be nice to max out a thread about how bad healers are right now... but you know.... 2 would be even better lol
For me,the healer are not that bad.
It's the fact that Tanks are actually OP that make the whole system imbalanced and put healer in a position off being, in a lot of case, almost useless.
I never cared about Healer DPS skills, because for me thoses skills were only there to kill mobs in solo, while doing your quests.
For me, in group, a Healer job is to heal and buff and then DPS when they have time.
When i see people complaining about Healer DPS Kit, i just think that they bark at the wrong tree.... They should be complaining at the fact they have less and less healing to do because of the imbalance caused by Tanks being OP and that they have lost all their buff except for some Mit based one.(making Tanks ever more OP)
The actual system need almost a whole rework to make Healer revelant again.

We complain about both. We had more dps back in SB and can get them back. They are never going to make healing intensive enough to make 1 button dps plus a DoT good.
I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

I would at this point be willing to compromise to just get Healer damage buffed up to the same level as what Tanks do. It would show that they at least pretend to care about the role and balance...
