The thing is, you can't force people out of your party unless you PF your duty roulettes. Most people would still rather take the convenience of queueing up in DF.

And if someone decides to kick an unoptimal player? Well, they can get reported for unjustified usage of the vote dismiss system after a GM reviews what's happening and sees that everyone is playing as normal. I don't think any normal person is willing to risk the account they've built on for years just to clear their expert roulette 2 minutes quicker.

As for people being toxic to each other, nothing anyone can do will ever make that go away. You could design a game where all you do is hold hands and skip through flowers and someone will kick you for not taking the speedrun route.

As I said I rather they just let us report the bad apples instead of nuking the chat function from pvp, but for whatever reason they rather mitigate the issues as much as possible.

Also I am not sure if things have changed, but if silent kicks were rarely if ever taken action on. Hell, at a time a certain certain players were added to a blacklist to avoid because of how they played. Before they made MSQ a 4 man with the unskippable cutscenes I was one of those players that would force DC to skip it and start fights. I never said anything in chat, and even had a GM speak with me I just told them I was playing on crap wifi. Never got punished for it. I do not play as much as I did back then so idk how things have changed since. I also took part in silent kicks never got punished for that.

I have gotten more forum warnings than in game warnings.

What you saying may be true, but once again goes against what they wish to do. For whatever reason they rather avoid the nature of an online game to protect as many people as possible from possible harassment, even though it still happens.

It also doesn’t help that because of the terrible healer design none of the big content creators actually main healer (momo is the most well known and he is very specific about not being a click bait creator)

You have 10* the amount of arthurs style “you are an NPC here to fill my queues so I can have fun” style creators than you actually have healer creators, there is proverbially nobody to defend us

Does not help we have one of the bigger FFXIV content creators Mr.Happy taking shots at the healer strike in passing in some of his videos making light of it. I think it did it just as recently as his video the DT is too hard forum post response.

so yeah, they all play either dps or tank aside from one. yeah, they think the strike is silly.

good for them. maybe someone needs to ask them why they dont play healer? "oh, doesnt fit my play style" is fair enough, some people arent suited. but I imagine that while they may say its silly for their clicks and views... we actually know WHY they dont, they just will never say it because it might endanger their precious media tour invite if they were honest.

Excuse me, but YOUR response is ridiculous. What I clearly said is that it was useless to post here that the people in your party are "cretins". If you encounter behaviour that isn't helping you, you have 4 choices- help the person (if you can) , put up with it, leave, or kick them.

Personally I would prefer to try to help someone before choosing the other options, as I have benefited personally from other players helping me (and I'm sure will do so in future) , but you do you.

I agree with this sentiment, I always try to help players before any other option, I haven't run into griefer healers at all and I main tank, I ran into a couple salty ones because they couldn't heal me during a dungeon because warrior OP but that's about it.

If they weren't designing encounters around healers doing DPS, what was the point in adding Glare 4? So we could kill overworld mobs faster? So we could do solo instances for story faster?

Also, 'extensive' is doing a LOT of heavy lifting. I'd like to believe that a lot of players who are asking for this 'extensive' kit, are simply asking for the SB damage kits back which is... one extra DOT per job, essentially?

They might not have given them an extra dot to keep track of (they did give SCH another dot) and apply but they gave another DPS option. why are so hung up on the damn dot? every single healer got an extra DPS button.

And why do they give more options to healers when it comes to damage? Because they still have to do damage in order to clear content. Just because your main job is to keep your party going it doesn't mean that's ALL that you do.

This was only ever going to have an effect on higher end, because there is a limit how many expansions of "optimize fun away" playstyle people can handle.

I thought people were thanking us for striking because all the healers who are striking are bad? That's what we were told by anti-strikers.
