problem being.... okay, they say the healers they get are garbage.. fair. SE made them so anyone with a faint glimmer of a pulse can play them... and then expects a crop of skilled people to do it? thats not how it works

but is a DPS REALLY going to interupt their dps phases to gives heals to a party? I would say that a majority of the time no, they will not.

so SE may have done this with a plan.. but what plan? if people playing dps wanted to heal... they would play a healer.

I think the plan is to make some roles much worse than others without any consideration as to what it might do to the amount of people playing these roles.

if thats the case then they have in fact succeeded and earned their paycheque.

and soon, they will spread their success to all roles in the game

If their complaint is that bad healers have a hard time healing, maybe they should ask how to get good players into playing the role.

I'll be blunt. If you design a job for stupids, you're naturally going to end up with mostly stupids within its playerbase. That's given & should not come off as a surprise: modern XIV healers are like that.

From what I could glean/understood via limited exposure & anecdotal hearsays, they seemed to lean toward "Well dev made this for us so let's at least give this a try..."-mindset than straight up not touching everything that doesn't suit their taste. With few exception being the horrendous criterions(?).

PF JPs ideal healer is a potion, anything besides that is too complicated.

People should really start to read what YoshiP say : They will work on Job Identity... Which mean SFX/VFX not gameplay.
