On Zodiark when the second tier of Savage was current, it was specifically shield healers who were missing because like 85% of the healer population on Zodiark is WHM for some reason.

You'd think that would have send a message a long time ago. While it doesn't tell SE what is wrong with the role (they can look at the healer subforum for that), it does clearly show something is wrong. For years.

But maybe SE just twisted that message into something completely backwards. Like: players must really hate playing healers, we better make sure healers have to heal as little as possible.

You'd think they'd lean in more into the damage rotation part then but not with SE. Not designed to heal, no designed to deal damage. Why are we here. Why does pvp get to have fun job design for everyone but not pve.

I have wondered if some things actually do get lost in translation, maybe even intentionally by whoever is summarizing feedback to YoshiP, considering the question asked in the Q&A that spawned the infamous "go play ultimates" line was a bit twisted out of shape when it made it to him (was able to find the links thanks to this thread).

To be fair I've never used pf in all my time of playing I either play with a full FC group or do roulettes, I've not seen healer in need at all sadly it always seems to be tank in need, my SGE is 96 but i started on VPR last night as I want to continue the story as VPR but I will still heal in roulettes.

It's because healer is no fun, what is the point of playing a healer if you don't get to HEAL, it is literally the name of the ROLE.
