I wonder why so many non healers come here to discourage the strike, is it because you don't want change? Don’t want to have to play a healer yourself? Maybe you think any criticism of the dev team is a reflection on you? Or do you simply dislike strikes? Genuinely curious!

I'm not against changes. I do think healers should have more interesting dps kits etc.

I'm not against playing healer. I play all three roles casually depending on my whims and what my friends need for roulettes on a given day.

And I'm not against strikes. You know, real strikes. Like the recent writer/actor strikes. 100% behind those. People putting real effort into real causes that matter, for better working conditions and wages they deserve.

I mock this 'strike' because it's silly. It's dumb. Because it's dramatic clickbait nonsense that might get a quick article or youtube video made during a content downtime, but is ultimately doomed to failure. Today is the day the strike was 'officially' supposed to start and I saw no difference in any of my roulette times as healer or tank. As expected the actual strike is turning out to be a wet fart.

We knew the strike wouldn’t impact the queues, but now I’ve dumped my healers and am happily maining PCT, if the devs ever decide they need feedback there is a mountain of it on the healer forums already

I would argue that the main purpose of the strike was to get people to talk about it. And judging by the fact that this thread is sitting at a comfy 615 pages and has youtube videos and such about it, I'd say it has done a pretty good job.

In the end, it's just a video game, so it can't have the same impact as a real world strike.

And with the strike turning into something more and more people talk about outside of the forums the more It turns into Image problem if nothing happens.

Ingame Disruption wasn't the goal but Reading the first post in this thread would have told you that aswell. But the Disruptor Crowd seem to not do even that and just try to tell us similar things again and again.

So the peacefully protest that didnt had as goal to disrupt doesn't actually disrupt, sounds like everything going as planned.

Early access is over and we're into the 'official' launch and it's still no different than any other expansion launch when it comes to queue times between roles. When can we expect to see the results of this 'strike' in action?

Unless you neglected to identify yourself as the representative of a group, that must be the royal "we".
And the answer is- Never
It's not about you. It never was.
And I know this will be a bitter pill to swallow, but you will not be the one to decide the success or failure of this effort.

Given the systemic damage done to the balance over the years, it will take significant time and effort to solve the legitimate issues raised by this discussion. Healers may be the most vocal right now, but they are certainly not the only ones who are unhappy.
Whether or not SE will make the choice to do that work remains to be seen.

? Are the only strikes youre aware of only in reference to ones with drastic /actively visible and immediate outcomes? Plenty of strikes happen with the knoweldge nothing immediately will change, but are still done none the less more with the intent to bring awareness to something.

Thats what a strike is, to voice a opinion of something from a collection of people who generally have the refusal/reluctance to do something (in this case healing).

Alot of the "action" in this strike is really "I (this minority of players) will not be playing healers going forward because the job designs of other classes are simply more fun/engaging/better balanced within the trifecta and will play those instead while voicing my disappointment with the current state of healers in the meantime while hoping it improves(or unsub until it does.)"
