As the servers have been up, I decided to poke around the new AST... I didn't entirely notice and understand the tooltips on the Job Guide, but the new draw system is absolutely horrible as it's on a 1 minute CD and alternates between the somewhat good Astral and the nearly useless Umbral. On Astral you have Lord of Crowns for an extra attack, and a DPS boosting card... On Umbral you only have the DPS boosting card. The Balance and The Spear are only really useful cards, Bole is very occasionally mildly useful as an extra mitigation... The rest in a real situation are functionally meaningless.

Found this kinda funny: picto filler rotation is also basically using same spell over and over again, but whoever designed it knew how to do it properly: each next spell uses different animation and sound so I wouldn't get annoyed hearing/watching same spell over and over; then he also forced me to use a different button for every 1/3 of the sequence, even though combo position is shared between both of parts, just so I wouldn't get tired of spamming same button. I feel cared for, thank you! Wish this person would work on whm next

Utility cards are even worse than previous iterations because you have better options than using cards.

Celestial Intersection has similar function as using one card, if not better.

You have Essential Dignity for burst heals, and its potency is powerful enough at most situations. You can rely on your muscle memory to press ED rather than that one single card you may or may not have when you need it.

You have Exaltation that works like two cards combined, without having to spend two separate oGCD window on two separate buttons.

Basically you will have two cards in each deck that you would avoid using them because you already have better solution for various situations.

This is extremely disappointing considering they delayed AST rework until DT, and this is the result of their hard work.

Yeah looking at all the tool tips for scholar my now abandoned main. The only dps button I'll be pressing is once ogcd on a 2 minute cool down. Yup. Really engaging game play. Another 2 years of spamming ONE singular button . It's so stupid. At this point I think there is actually something wrong with the devs mentally. Definitely unsubbing after I blow through msq

Welp, soon I'll hope onto the game just to catch up to DT and then get through DT. This will be the first expansion I won't be doing much if anything at all as a healer. What dps/tank job are you playing instead of crummy healers?

Settled on DNC and RDM. Fun rotations and fun support abilities.

Lots of healers have been striking since this thread was made, even before if inadvertently. But most that're taking part are doing so from today. Do or don't, matters not. Act as snarky as you want! Keep the thread alive, keep bumping it! Troll or not, it all helps - cRaZy!

Still waiting for all those people to step up and flex into healer, didn't get all my roulettes in before the reset because the queues are long.
