I played WoW as a dps. You don't know what a queue time is.Our queue time as DPS/Tank will be the same as already non healer players and we all know it. So I don't get the point.
Or, maybe you want to force us playing a job we don't enjoy anymore for the sole reason we start the game with that role ? Are taking us for your slaves or something ?
If you're afraid you can't be patient enough for the queue times, you're free to switch to healer.

I'd rather have queues of hours for a single duty that I get to enjoy rather than spending the entirety of an expansion with a gameplay that boils down to:
-If there is damage to be healed press the generic oGCD that is flat potency and doesn't have any other interesting effect
-If there is no damage to be healed press a 2 button rotation
Healers on this game are a textbook example of how not to do game design
I agree, but there is a certain level of decision making that has to be done. Do I:I'd rather have queues of hours for a single duty that I get to enjoy rather than spending the entirety of an expansion with a gameplay that boils down to:

1. play a job I don't care for just so I can play the game
2. spend my precious gaming time waiting for 15 minutes of fun.
IDK about the rest of you, but 15 minutes of fun per hour is not worth it to me. My plan was to main DPS this expac for my own reasons. I will switch to a different job if it means I actually get to play the game. I just really hope it doesn't come to that.

I've been playing a shit job and giving feedback to improve it for years, I've seen how my main get destroyed, dumbed down and become irrelevant for years, 15m of wait compared to that is nothing for me, and honestly if is such a big problem to you (which is understandable) you only have Square Enix's designers to blame.I agree, but there is a certain level of decision making that has to be done. The devs are the ones that caused this issue by letting clear problems fester for so long, they are the ones that neglected the role and allowed it to become what is today. If there is a healer shortage to the point no one can play comfortably, they are the ones at fault not us. With all due respect, I understand your worry, but I'm not gonna waste my sub and time in one of the worst designed roles of the industry just so others can enjoy theirs
I imagine the biggest hurt about long queue times (assuming something pops at all) is that it's going to slow down most people's leveling, as roulettes is where the bulk of our EXP comes from. But there's still other methods, and people here will probably be better off than I am because most of you were already at the end of Endwalker waiting to waltz into Dawntrail and all the 90-100 content it offers, solo included. Whereas I in my insanity, got every combat job to 90 and I haven't even finished all of Heavenward yet. Of course, I also played a *lot* of PVP, where even if you don't heal (and you really don't need to) all of the healers (especially SCH & AST) can still wreck folks.I agree, but there is a certain level of decision making that has to be done. So for those who still want to level healer while staying true to the strike, Frontlines does give a very generous amount of EXP with its own roulette, and maybe dunking on some tanks might be oddly satisfying. Just putting it out there...
Queue times? Man, I remember sitting in hubs asking for healers and tanks in say or global chat, because there were no queues. There were some days you didn't even get to play. This healer strike is gonna be nothing in comparison to that. We have Trusts as the worst case scenario.
Likewise. I remember being amazed when dungeon finder was put into WoW.Queue times? Man, I remember sitting in hubs asking for healers and tanks in say or global chat, because there were no queues. I also remember 3-4 hour queue times on Steamwheedle Cartel as a DPS at times after we got dungeon finder. I do believe I can handle whatever my queue time is now. For that matter most of what I do can be handled by duty support or trust if I get tired of waiting.
Everyone should just play what makes the game fun for them. If healing no longer is it then play something else. Nothing wrong with it.
