One's for consistent MP recovery, one's for mitigation. On both the healing is mostly just a bonus.

It’s still not like taurochole is remotely overpowered or anything
They could just upgrade druachole into taurochole and not give it a recast time
Extra mitigation on the tank is functionally useless at this point
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I saw the announcement of what they plan to change and it's to no surprise that they plan to simplify the game even more. Whatever "hard" thing players encountered, square enix sees this as an opportunity to lower difficulty down.
Tanks having an issue with enmity because some classes have high burst opening? Should players just let tank take the boss first and adjust to him? Nah, let's buff enmity for tanks.
Viper too hard for people? Should players just learn the class properly? Nah let's ease directional requirements and ease the job so people with 2 keyboard buttons can play it.
Black mage has difficulty with MP management? Square forbids that any class has MP problems, this needs to be buffed. Why should players be better about this.
"Uf Astro has a hard time during burst phases..." this is definitely something that we need to simplify since players obviously don't like harder content.
Ridiculous from them.

So, genuine question, I dont feel this strike because I play with friends which some of which are healers, but do people feel this?
I see a lot of dps waiting in q but that is nothing new and with 2 new dps jobs it's likely even harsher, so, do you think this is making a difference?

So far, nope. I've been leveling my SCH exclusively thru roulettes, and was "hoping" there would be more Healer "in need" than usual, but...nope. So many times I call up the roulettes and it's still Tank from top to bottom. So, genuine question, I dont feel this strike because I play with friends which some of which are healers, but do people feel this?

Not surprising, though. The number of people involved in this "strike" is barely a grain of sand compared to the size of the playerbase. Not to mention the timing - doing it right as a new xpac launches means there's a ton of new and returning players, so chances are for every person who goes on "strike", there's several others already stepping in to take their place.

You do know that AIN doesn’t work like that rightSo far, nope. I've been leveling my SCH exclusively thru roulettes, and was "hoping" there would be more Healer "in need" than usual, but...nope. So many times I call up the roulettes and it's still Tank from top to bottom.

Tank is the default AIN and healer can only be AIN specifically when tank isn’t AIN
So if you are looking at the levelling roulette and there are 30 parties that are looking for a healer, if even one of those parties is also looking for a tank then tank will be AIN despite there being a far higher need for healers
It’s why at the dead of night when nobody is queuing tank is always just the default AIN
lucky’s census for the end of EW shows there is about 1.2 million with capped healers and 1.7 with capped tanks so healer is definitely the rarer role

Having started in shb it's crazy to me to imagine that tank was once the role that nobody played to the point SE tried to bribe people with mounts. You do know that AIN doesn’t work like that right

Tanking is so braindead that I have to put netflix on in order to not fall asleep. The lack of aggro generation has been really fun for me the last few days, I actually feel alive! I have to actually not just turn off my brain and spam overpower as I run. For some reason they want to take away this little bit of engagement they inadvertently given us. I hate it.

Physik kind of has a role in SCH kit, but I think it could probably also be upgraded too. Pretty much agree with everything else. The reason SGE has that extra heal is purely because SCH also has a strong ST heal connected to their bar. SGE was built to be derivative of SCH which is why it's got such a weird healing kit. There are still quite a few redundant healing actions that exist in the game. The most guilty one being WHM's Cure I. Why exactly does this action and the "Free Cure" trait still exist past level 30? Why can't Cure I naturally upgrade to Cure II.
Same thing can be argued with for having Physik upgrade to Adloquium or have AST's Benefic I upgrade to Benefic II. With SGE, why does it have both Druochole and Taurochole in it's toolkit? Wouldn't be best if the former upgraded into the latter? One ability is clearly better than the other and the job doesn't need the extra oGCD heal.
There are plenty of abilities that can be cut from all healers SCH and WHM especially have abilities that really don't need to be around. SCH has way too many long CD moves now and WHM lily spells don't need to be separated from Cure and medica buttons. Divine Benison is also really weird for WHM since Aquaveil seems to suit it's role better.
One thing that really gets me is Philosophia. This feels like it should of been in the game since EW as either the 90 capstone or a weaker version that was there Instead of Physis. Now that I've seen people use it and it's effects it really made me think "Why the hell wasn't this always in Sage's kit?"
