I've got to tell you... this seems extremely petty. I've found that, over the years, Squeenix has made changes to a lot of jobs, some of which I liked, and some of which I did not. None, however, have ever ruined a job for me to the point I can't play it.

I can't choose what you do with your character, and I wouldn't attempt it. But I think the only time I've heard a more trivial complaint is when people were complaining on the Minecraft forums when they first added weather, that it "ruined the game."

If you don't want to heal, don't heal. Simple as that.

Nah, the point of the thread seems to be people desperately calling attention to themselves and making it about them. The person you're responding to pointed out anyone could simply choose not to play a healer without having to make oneself the center of attention for doing so.

So this whole thread is just about "content" that is so trivial that 4 bards could do it?

That something "can" be done doesn't mean it's in any way, shape, or form the normal experience for the typical player.

Dungeons and trials are the bulk of the game. Don't shill for certain jobs. Want the game to be better.

"Want the game to be better for me personally" would be a more accurate statement. Discussions in this forum would be much more productive if people stopped trying to act as if personal, subjective opinions are somehow objective fact. For example, I'm very much enjoying healing where it's at right now. Making a significant change to it could be something I end up finding even more enjoyable...or it could make the game "worse" for me. It's all a matter of opinion. This kinda goes along with the first person I quoted.

Sounds a lot like "You're allowed to stop playing healer, but don't you dare actually talk to people about it! Shut up and stay quiet!" Also, you're the one who has chosen to enter this thread full of people you disagree with regarding an issue you disagree with and calling attention to YOURSELF, by posting. You're a hypocrite.

Ok, so I enjoyed the healers back in SB, they were fun, and ShB ruined that fun for me, but because you personally "enjoy healing where it's at right now" my fun no longer matters? That ironically makes you the self-centered one here as the devs took something that many enjoyed to cater to your tastes rather than those that already enjoyed it.

Also yes, we are choosing not to play healer, that's literally the point of the strike, it's kinda ironic that Striker doesn't get what a strike is.

We've been complaining about this for 5 years. You can check the other healer threads. This is not the first time we've brought it up, but the moment we put "strike" in the title suddenly everyone wants to talk about it. We have had our feedback ignored for so long we had to escalate our language to be heard, and it has absolutely been effective.

Just so this "unsub" argument dies once and for all:

In the words of Striker44, the forums are a infinitesimally, tiny minority, requiring a subscription to the game to comment at all.

Did you know that there are far, far, FAR more people who have already unsubbed?

There are MANY of those people on the Discord.

Did you know that the MMORPG community at large believes that FF14 is an extremely boring, stale game when it comes to healer gameplay?

MOST players who find the game boring have already unsubbed from the game.

You just don't know because they can't post on the forums, and they have very little reason to post on FF14-related social media like the main subreddit.

Well no, you're trying to make it into some kind of political stand thing, which is hilarious. Do you not have any real-world issues that trouble you enough to demand your attention? You have to act like healers not being the gods of the party all the time is some kind of threatening issue? I'm begging anyone who is part of this "movement" to touch grass.
