You don't enjoy healing anymore and are going to start playing jobs in other roles. That's relatable to everyone. People lose enjoyment in things and start doing new things all the time.

All of you could just say you're retiring from healing or changing careers from healer to tank/DPS if you wanted to bring in employment related phrases.

How's it going to feel when players are still progressing through MSQ while your strike is going on? Still managing to get their roulettes done because other players stepped up where you stepped down.

Been sitting on one of my alts watching AIN status as I scroll through this thread.

This is what Crystal DF looked like 5 minutes ago (by the time I post this).



It had been running about 80% tank AIN and 20% healer AIN but had to laugh when it switched to that.

Seems like there are plenty of healers out there doing content as usual and it's pretty unlikely to change at Dawntrail launch regardless of your strike.

I'll probably feel fine since I'll actually be having fun on a DPS job rather then falling asleep on a healer.

Then I'm honestly happy for you.

I'm a big fan of doing what you personally find fun (as long as that doesn't mean maliciously ruining someone else's fun). It's why I've been in this forum encouraging posters to go play other games when they've gone on their "game sucks/game is dying" rants. If it's not fun to you, don't do it.

No, you didn't.

What you said was that you don't think they take unsubbed players into consideration when balancing numbers. That's effectively saying they only care about subscribed players when making balancing adjustments. End of paragraph.

Then you started a new paragraph saying they never try to try to get back unsubbed players.

If you meant that they don't use balancing numbers to try to draw unsubbed players back to the game, you should have said it that way.

Hyperbole aside, most of the people wanting changes made to how healer as a role feels or plays want to play this game. In addition, I believe it is good to allow people to discuss their grievances with a particular product because it shows they actually care about said product. Telling someone to play something else is effectively telling them to go buy something else, or to use a different product. How is someone who is not actively using a product able to give reliable feedback, especially if things change.

I don't particularly have any issues with what anyone is doing, as I am able to play every role in the game and, for the most part, enjoy what I am doing. I also do not mind using the trust system, and I can effectively level all of my healers to max level without the need to engage with anyone else. As such I have the following question:

Do you find malice in me leveling my healers via the Trust System instead of leveling my healers via group content with my reason being I have more fun healing the Trust NPCs than I do healing group content?

other people have already mentioned this but- people unsub in this game all the time. constantly. between patches, between expacs, and i personally don't think unsub numbers actually matter that much for square enix, in terms of how they choose to balance the game.

because they don't use balance adjustments to do that.

i know you're having a really emotional reaction. and that you really don't like the word strike being used, though i didn't use it in the post you're responding to. and "thinking its funny" is still an emotional reaction.

if you want to actually address my point that what i care about is their internal metrics about what percentage of players play what roles for what percentage of their playtime feel free to do so, but you aren't actually addressing that by bringing up an unrelated situation.
