That does not negate the need for extensive testing with all other classes and in all content. Still wont be fast.I don't think it has to be a total rework though. There's a lot you could do with the resources already available to us that could be accomplished with just shorting cooldowns, DOT durations, or making slight adjustments to how certain things can be used. Redirect that newfound damage potential out of our spammable spells to compensate, and you'd have something that would be a good compromise for Dawntrail until we reach the next expansion. I have some examples of how I'd go about it over on the first page.
It's not the easiest math... but it's definitely not complicated. I'd feel pretty confident doing potency per second calcs as well
Why should the dps community get an apology for longer queues? They can just reroll and become a healer. I hope they have spare keyboard buttons though. One of them might need to be replaced regularly lmao

but i have instances where healers go into dungeons not knowing what to do as a healer and extending the 30 min dungeon to 45 mins because we have to accommodate their lack of knowing their role, this healer strike is going to end up the same way the last healer/tank strike from stormblood ended...pointless we need to use our words and tell the devs as the community what we want...because every time we ask for something (like wanting healers to be less stressful) we get these post where healers are mad their inferiority complex isnt recognized...ive been in runs where healers was legit drunk to a dungeon barely healing the tank but forcing the tank to do giant pulls and slow down the overall combat for their amusement...healers shouldn't be ridgit...no other role in the game really is...even tanks.Yesterday I went Aitiascope as DPS (because obviously I ain't going healer) to farm the minion, and both the SCH and second DPS died, leaving just me and the WAR at the second boss alive. We survived the fight because of WAR.
That shouldn't be possible, but it is.
When Asura fight got released, yes, everyone in the party we new to the fight, yet our tanks were WAR and PLD. Everyone was dead at boss' 56%, yet the tanks duo'd the boss until the clear, giving no one a chance to enjoy the fight, even after the party demanded a reset. They didn't listen. Was this fun? Not at all. We all spent like 10-15 minutes dead watching tanks fight it alone. Things like these aren't fun, it's active grieving by SE. Maybe SE should ban themselves for breaking their own rules.

It’s been a damn long time since I haven’t put DPS’ed at least one DPS in a dungeon and had their bad understanding of their role drag the dungeon out from 30 to 45 minutes. I guess the only solution is to consolidate their kit to 11111111 and make sure the healer does more damage than them, can’t have them dragging the dungeon run down with their inferiority complex right
Then the the strike would pointless as they would be replacing all the healers that drop the role. So SE would not have to bother fixing healers cause all those complaining would no longer matter cause their dps now.
That’s the point, we all know the DPS mains won’t reroll as healers because even they know healers are crap, they just don’t care because it’s not their role and if they do pick them up they will likely join the people complaining because healers aren’t fun
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
