I like the idea that the strike is both completely ineffectual because almost no one is going to participate but also very disruptive to the playerbase as a whole. Pick a lane please.

Didn't you know? This strike is pointless because literally no one is going to join it and it's totally not worth doing because a few people are laughing at it on a random discord server somewhere. But this strike is also incredibly disruptive because won't you think of those poor DPS players sitting in queues? So clearly we should stop this performative nonsense and go back to filling queues like good little sheep because we shouldn't possibly inconvenience the DPS masters who want a fast queue, no sir!
/s (if anyone needs it)
You are the minority most players are casual who like chill healer we have now. They also aren't thinking "man I'm so useless with that war' but rather "cool we didn't die and kept everyone alive I feel good".Didn't you know? Trust exists to bypass if there are no healer.
If by any chance it is almost impossible (which it won't) to get healer for msq trial. You'll get blocked too.
But I'm all for you guys being on a strike. Please be on strike forever.

You're acting like these two things are mutually exclusive.
People won't participate because they don't want to be the ones being disruptive.
It'll make others hate them and probably even get them banned if they matchmake and ditch an active duty too many times, and maybe then having the hashtag on their search info could open them up to being reported for participating in group disruption.
People will see the hashtag and scoff at it because of comedic optics of 'striking' in a video game, but also because of the sheer impracticality of organizing a whole unionized movement on a Japanese MMO with different demographics, and if/when people actually try they're just disrupting the game as a whole and someone else will step in and do their job for them.
If people just don't play healer during the strike, then someone will pick it up and play healer.
That's part of why I chose to main SMN, because ARC can alternate between SMN and SCH without having to level up a whole separate class.
If people queue up in DF or look for PF and then dip to make a point, well that's their account they're risking.
And raid statics probably won't be affected by this either because they probably all know each other well enough and still want to play the game they're paying $14/mo to play.

No one is advocating ditching queues/instances. Simply not engaging with DF as healer at all. You're acting like these two things are mutually exclusive.

People will try it. Just watch. Sitting around and just not playing healer is even more impractical than duty dipping. At least with that, you're actually doing something (not that I advocate for that, though)
Even without that, simply having the hashtag on your search info will make you stand out.
And yes, we are still laughing at this whole thing. If you think this is limited to just me and my friend group, or the other servers I'm in with several hundred other people in them who play regularly and also think it's stupid, then you're seriously wasting your time or you're just acting as troll bait.

Let me make this abundantly clear as I went through the ToS, particularly 'Prohibited Activites' before I proposed the strike.
- The message of the strike is a collective voice of those who are not happy with the state of healing and healers in FFXIV.
- This strike is a protest. As such, it is not intended to disrupt the game. The fact you keep bringing it up can only be deemed to be an attempt to gaslight those who are in support of it, and prevent them from spreading the hashtag.
- Nothing in the prohibited section of the ToS forces players to participate in duties. What players choose to do, or not do in the game is entirely at their discretion so long as they are not in violation of the ToS.
- The activity of a player supporting the strike has chosen to not participate in duties as the healer role. Again, this is not against the ToS. Most supporters are still going to actively participate in duties, meaning they are still contributing to the community. Just not as a healer.
- No player participating in the strike is telling others to do the same or to spread the hashtag. Those who do so are doing so at their own volition.
- #FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE in a player's search comments expresses their support of it.
You can best believe I will add a modified version of this that is not specifically addressing you to the manifesto in due time.

The strike isn't that we're going to queue as healer then fish for freecure or leave duty because we're little rascals.
We're just not queuing as green roles in roulettes, they're pretty consistently an instant queue as is and now we'll have a double DPS expansion. Those DPS queues need to be populated with healers too and we're not doing it anymore.
The most amusing thing to me. This came about cause of changes coming but no one who agrees for this obvious troll has yet to play dawntrail to see if it even flows well.
Also a few healers refusing to heal won't matter. Tons more healers to take ya place.
